|
 |
Ok, question is simple, I like my alcohol, but I am never drunk, am I on my way of becoming an alcoholic? I don't want to become one, but whenever there's an occasion I just fancy my glass of wine or heavy beer. If I go biking and I travelled 25km I need my relaxing beer, if I am behind my PC chatting with my loved one I can enjoy a glass of wine. When I am going out and I am at my regular bar I allways drink atleast 7 duvels. Lately I have this feeling like I am turning into an alcoholic, but I have only been drunk maybe 5 times in my life, I allways know to stop on time, not to get drunk.
What is your input on the matter?

Take a break for a week or two.
If you will notice that you're being more nervous or anything like that or someone can get on
your nerves really easy or just can't thinking about having a pint this is a definitely a sign
of googling for a nearest AA spot ...
Or just google for it

Well I do think about alcohol sometimes, like when its thursday and I know I dont have to work on friday I will get myself a bottle of bubbly and empty it during the evening, but I will never go over 1 bottle. I just like the droozy feeling, not the drunk feeling cuz haven't been drunk now for over 2 years. But its the taste that I like and the fact that I am so fucking loose and happy when I drink.
PS : I am never a dick when I drink, I just turn into a teddybear everyone loves, guess aggression is not in my nature.

Remember you don't have to be an alcoholic to destroy your liver.
Just 8 cans of normal lager twice a week will do damage.

Don't go to AA if you do believe you have a drinking problem.
They simply tell you that you have no control over yourself and that you have to accept a higher power (a god) . Everything else they do is also worthless garbage. Study's show the people who go to AA meetings have the same % success rate as a person who doesn't go to AA. All AA is, is a cult. If you ever watched that south park episode concerning them that parts not fictional they really do teach that garbage.

Do you ever feel like you're drinking too much, or that you should maybe cut down?
Do people you know ever question or criticize your drinking? Does it annoy you when that happens?
Do you ever feel bad or guilty about your drinking habits?
Do you ever wake up feeling like you need a drink to start the day? If so, do you have one first thing?
Do you ever feel a strong craving for alcohol? Some people crave alcohol the same way they crave food when they're hungry.
If you have one drink, do you find it hard to turn down a second? Many people with alcoholism can't stop drinking once they start.
If you go a few days without drinking, do you ever feel nauseous, sweaty, shaky, or anxious? If so, do those feelings go away when you resume drinking?
Do you have a high tolerance for alcohol? Many people who suffer from alcoholism have to drink a lot before they get drunk.
Read not to contradict and confute, nor to believe and take for granted, but to weigh and consider.
To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.
In all your remembering, remember that you have choices

I read some study that one beer per day (or a glass of red wine per day) don't have to be bad (especially wine, it's even healthy), but you need to train something, do jogging or sth alike.
If you drink you can definitely destroy your liver, but these days you have drugs that helps in regeneration of the liver.
I think you can't properly say for yourself if you're alcoholic. Usually the people near you will notice sth is different and if they're good friends they'll do sth about it

- Yeah, I feel it whenever I get droozy, then I stop drinking and get water
Do people you know ever question or criticize your drinking? Does it annoy you when that happens?
- Noone does
Do you ever feel bad or guilty about your drinking habits?
- Not really, but its in the back of my mind cuz I know 2 drunks and its not a nice thing to see
Do you ever wake up feeling like you need a drink to start the day? If so, do you have one first thing?
- Never
Do you ever feel a strong craving for alcohol? Some people crave alcohol the same way they crave food when they're hungry.
- Strong craving no, but when I am my local pub I won't turn one down
If you have one drink, do you find it hard to turn down a second? Many people with alcoholism can't stop drinking once they start.
- Can turn down a second easily
If you go a few days without drinking, do you ever feel nauseous, sweaty, shaky, or anxious? If so, do those feelings go away when you resume drinking?
- Nope, no nausea, shakes, or anything of that matter
Do you have a high tolerance for alcohol? Many people who suffer from alcoholism have to drink a lot before they get drunk.
- I am pretty athletic so don't think I need more than 10 glasses of wine before I am totally smashed

There are no drugs that regenerate the liver.
They tell you to stop drinking and to be very carefull of the medication you use. The liver can heal itself but only so much.

I didn't meant chemical stuff, a herb, either Silybum marianum or Carduus marianum I'm not really sure. Here they make herbal drug that helps in "cleaning" the liver... regeneration is kinda strong word I admit...
