S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has best AI to date. What is your point about suckage? Some kind of personal preference? |
The AI might be good but I could never get into the game.. maybe because it was slow and all plus the start bored me. I'm sure its because the pacing of the game is not of my type.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

That only means one thing: it hasn't gone on the hypetrain. And as far as I remember, neither did Max Payne or the sequel.
It surely isn't the second DNF. The developer has stated when it's done, but that it doesn't mean they will work on it 5 years from last year.

Quote: | IGN has listed every videogame officially confirmed to be shown at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 0 . Running from July 14 to July 17, the expo will showcase the year’s upcoming blockbuster titles. However, our most anticipated title, Alan Wake, is missing from the list of showcase games.
As you can expect Microsoft to be the primary marketer for the game, they should be including Alan Wake in their showcases whenever they feel the game is ready to be shown to the public. Their list for this year’s expo includes anticipated titles such as Fable 2, Gears of War 2, Halo Wars and Too Human.
Before coming to quick conclusions, IGN points out, the list includes every videogame that has been “officially confirmed” and that there is always the chance that companies will be keeping their surprises a secret until the show actually starts. We will just have to wait and see… |

It was posted before it was announced. Read the post carefully and you will know why, it talks about what IGN is listing and not. Next time read more than just the headline

Remedy was recently (late spring '08) hiring quite a bit of new staff, so either they have a new project under works, or Alan Wake is still quite far from a release.
Edit: Fucking smileys...

No. Max Payne 3 = Rockstar. |
Rockstar published #2, not developed it. Max payne is made by Remedy. |
Remedy has nothing to do with MP anymore. I think it's due to the relatively low sales of MP2 (yes, as good as it was, it didn't have a staggering sales record).

What makes you think that? In fact, both games have sold over 7 million in total. Just because Take Two owns the rights to it, does not mean Remedy won't develop a 3rd one in the future.

I remember reading all about it. That's why they are making Alan Wake in the first place, MP3 was put on the back burner by Rockstar. MP2 didn't meet Rockstar's high expectations of sales.

Ah, I see. Well that makes sense then. Still doesn't mean there could not be a Max Payne 3 in the future of course.

Oh I'm sure there will be, every company likes to bring back old dinosaurs when it's at risk. Take Two already stated there will be MP3. I'm just saying Remedy won't be involved. (So this might mean MP3 = Stranglehold... )

That's speculation of course. Me, I don't see why Remedy would not develop it.

We'll have to see. I remember reading Remedy and Rockstar/Take Two part ways, but I can't find the article now. That's why Alan Wake is published by Microsoft.
