10000 BC - 7/10
Definitely not as bad a s the people at IMdb made it sound, but something didn't work in the story. Perhaps it was the bad writing...

Wanted - 8/10
Should of been called "The hottest you will ever see Angelina Jolie for 90 minutes". Few laughs (the keyboard "FUCK YOU"), amazing action, but boy did they totally ruin the comic.

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow 6/10
Crap dialog, but loved the 30s-40s robot designs etc.
I guess it has a typical "matinee" feel to it, like ol Flash Gordon movies
or something, no doubt intentional. And the "bloom" is worse then a bad PC game.

There Will Be Blood - 8/10 - Definitely worth a watch, solid performances from both Daniel Day Lewis & Paul Dano. The whole film felt like a Kubrick film with emphasis on pessism and duality.

l: change the world 6.75/10 (because 7 seems a tad high, and 6.5 is a little too low )
not perfect, pretty slow in parts, but interesting and a good watch... was great to see L again... the actor does such a good job of the role, its sad to know he has to die there are some fuckin hilarious bits in it, mainly whenever ANYONES dying of the virus.. its supposed to be sad and emotional, but every time i saw someone dying, it was hammed up so bad i cracked up laughing. i think some of the characters were seriously underdeveloped, but the story was about L, and since he is the featured role im able to forgive the other less developed characters. death note was definately a much better set of films, but this was a nice way to cap off L's last days.

Best pixar film to date. Enchanting charm, great characters, great story besides little dialogue.

Wanted - I found the story elements rather dull and boring and meh The guy from night watch is awsum! Action was sick! Like really really sick. Really creative and really well done. I just didn't really like the story bits. It was like meh, i get the point.... cut to! CUT TO! CUT TO!!! ARRRGH! But yeh a decent action flick. Adrenaline filled. FUll of nice shots and scenery and sick style shits and stuffs. 8/10
I also hated the whole curve the bullet thing. The way they did it. It was arrrgh lame! But fun fucking action movie!

The happening 4/10. Wish the movie didnt happen. Nothing good about it. So much fuzz about it being rated R that you'd think it'll be gruesome death after death much like Rambo, but there wasnt anything really bad. Every death could very well be in a pg13 movie, and probably some pg13 movies have bigger gore than this shitty movie.
And I really hate that actress who played Mark's wife, started hating her since weeds. It seems like her whole role in the movie was to look past the camera with her big eyes and look concerned.
Spoiler: | And what a shitty "twist" if you can call it that. Wow, killer plants, just awesome. I was seriously expecting Al Gore to pop up at the end and start preaching on how we are killing the planet and if it could it would kill us all. I was so disappointed by the twist, I was hoping the plant's toxins was just a bs reason to confuse the audience and then some aliens or some other shit is really behind it. |
