|
 |
Hey.
I just fixed my whole XBOX360.
I had my XBOX360 for a week or 2, then it started showing the RROD.
And yes here we go, I had the errorcode 0022.
When you guys have the same problem, I now know how to fix it.
1. Open the XBOX360 case, Remove the Coolblock's and watch the coolpaste.
2. If the coolpaste is around the CPU and GPU and not on it, Just remove all the paste.
3. Clean the whole chip with alcohol, so the GPU and CPU will be shiny again.
4. Buy new quality coolpaste, Put it on the processor and put everything in eachother.
Then, start you're XBOX360.
Leave it on for about 20 minutes, So the coolingpaste will be warm and stuff.
Restart you're XBOX360 and you're problem is solved.
This worked for me and it's working better then ever!
I hope guys with the same error will get it fixed.
It isn't that hard.
EDIT: Microsoft will do the same, but then you'll do not have you're xbox360 for about 2/3 weeks. And thats sucks!

No, Microsoft wont do the same, far as im concerned they place an entire new heatsink on top of both the GPU & CPU. Removing cooling paste and applying a new layer should be seen as a temporary solution, thx for the tip tho.

after my first rrod, my first box took 6 months to eventually die, i gave it alot of attention over those 6 months. so you perhaps have a few months.
