Far Cry 2 is said to need at least an Athlon 64 X2 4000+, a Core 2 Duo with 2.8 GHz is recommended. For the graphics acceleration you should have a Geforce 9800 or a Radeon HD 4870.

Seems to be taken from the same forum as the one I found the above picture on, there's quite a few others so I suspect it's fake and just some benchmark program.

That's a hell of an impressive video, my only complaint would be that you can't set of the explosive while driving a vehicle, that would be even better.

No he doesn't.
He gets out the car, turns around and then detonates it.

C'mon, there are one ridiculous system requirements... I just hope it'll be optimsed. I hate to say but I'm kinda sick of developers who make their games look totally badass and do no optimalization at all, hence, we may just wait a year or two for the hardware to run it in good res and details... Crysis was one thing but hell, what is wrong with people? I don't think that PC requires such drastic measures to increase sales of hardware. Nicely looking, and smooth running games can also be done, hence DMC4 (as a port for Christ sake! UBI! here! look at this!), Assassin's Creed (another port... UBI's to make things more weird...). So why FC2 and x2 4000 as minimum?
EDIT: I ran the test, with 1680x1050 and the fps didn't go down deeper than 20. So quite nice. The only problem was that hitching from time to time...>.> Not that it's a big problem.
x3 720 @ 3.0 Ghz @ 1,2v / MA770T-UD3P / 4GB DDR3 1333 / 8800GT 512 DDR3 / 1,25tB SATA2 / CM590 / Corsair VX 550W

those posted are fake requirements for a 3dquest project not a Far Cry 2 benchmark
I'm sure they'll optimise it to work well on decent computers but don't expect it to run well on a low-end PC
