That's how DMC3 is. If you continue more than 2 times in the first 3 missions then you get easy mode.

Also, isn't there even more difficult modes after beating the game a few times, even past the previous highest difficulty "Dante must die"?

EDIT: Good game so far btw, laughed a bit when that no-panties girl started doing acrobatics near the start of the castle level and those lesbian girl demons before the actual boss revealed itself.
(Unfortunately it crashed in the laboratory level just before that boss, hopefully it's not related to the crack as I can't get the clone or rather mini-image to pass the SecuROM protection.)

who said anything about socketA? The response was only about AM2 and Core2Duo is everything but a suitable CPU... Razz

AM2 - x64, sempron, x2 and phenom CPUs
s754 and 939 - sempron and A64, also SOME of X2 thingies
socketA - everything that's older

This is his processor.

So you're saying he has an AM2 motherboard?

Nah, this is socketA. I haven't seen that link, only the answer about X2 6000, hence I assumed that he has something around sempron or early X2s. If it's XP, withouta SS2 and stuff then either way the guy has to change whole platform, but that's a discussion for another topic and not here.

well some clones did work....

the ones you had to burn sometimes worked like a charm.

but some clones never worked nor mounted nor burned

He mentioned that his processor caused the crashes because it didn't support SSE2. Hence I am right and you are wrong.

I WIN THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS IN YOUR FACE WOOT NUMBAH WAN!

Anyway is this coming to Steam or what? I got a debit card just so I could buy the game online.

Seriously, it's a pain in neck to follow two or three posts every second page of the thread and I just responded to the post I saw last. But yeah, you do win the price Smile.

Back to the topic. I noticed particular thing in DMC4. The movies take quite a lot of gameplay. I wonder if not too much. I mean, the first mission that u r to fight in this rounded quad in front of chappell. It took more time to watch the movie in which Nero kills off 20 of monsters than the fight against the bunch itself... Weird...[/spoiler]

Are there any dx9 and dx10 comparison screens, so far dx10 has been nothing but disappointing.

It doesn't really look much different at all aside from some minor light and shadow differences as far as I can see, still I use DX10 and performance is quite good.

glottis posted some a few pages back. Like the guy above said, just very light work on the light and shadows as it is with all "dx10 games"

There's some titles that offer more visible differences though, such as Capcoms previous port "Lost Planet" with the most recent patch.
(Added various DX10 techniques to improve various shaders like the motion blur, shadows, fur and a few other things, game look fantastic and it's the same engine as the one used by DMC4 and also ResidentEvil5 and StreetFighter4 - supposedly this engine makes it easier to port titles between various platforms such as between the X360, PS3 and PC.)

Albeit DX10 as such is more about being easier to use and more unified compared to developing for DX9 and all those updates for it.
(Visual improvements are possible ofcourse but it'll affect performance and so far it seems that not many, if any, titles take full advantage of what DX10/DX10.1 is capable of.)

Anyway the game already looks great so I'm not complaining, fun mindless action by killing hordes of enemies and epic bosses with a puzzle or two to shake things up a bit - again quite similar to Lost Planet but without having to manage the energy level constantly.
(Wonder if Capcom will decide to port RE5 over as well? would be a good title.)

EDIT: Oh and that girl wore something after all.

Can't that be done ingame via the options menu?
(I'm using the default controls but I noticed there's a option to change gamepad controls and another for keyboard controls when checking the pause menu while playing the game, can probably be done from the main menu as well though.)

EDIT: I see, seems it's not that easy based on the post below.

since your probably not paying anyway, you could just test it. I think its worth a test, but i play Mario64 better with a keybpard Razz
I play with keyboard and it just feels a little weird. You just have to remember that you have to HOLD (instead of pressing) space for some actions.

It'll be painful and frustrating. Go buy a generic 360 controller and you won't be sorry.

Some functions/moves are not possible using keyboard only (correct me if I am wrong). That's why I used the pad in the end.
