when i have extracted emporios release of hl2, i am supposed to press launcher.exe (according to the nfo). But when i do this all that happens is that a black dos-box comes up for about half a second, then it disappears and nothing else happens...
please help!

Exactly! i have the same prob, extracted the .iso fixed it with Half.Life.2.EMPORiO.FIX-ape and nothing happends :/

if you type it in a dos box you will see the text "Program to big to fit in memory" ??!! what the hell is that i got 1024MB DDR RAM don't tell me this is to low

has someone a solution for this problem i have the same i copied it on my hdd than i used the ne repacked dd patcher and it doesn't work?
there is the same prob with the memory and i have 1024 dual channel 400mhz that couldn't be.. what have you done??
please help me someone!

i got past this problem! my freind sent me his exe files (launcher.exe, hl2.exe and srcds.exe). this, however did not make the game work properly, but perhaps it will for you guys

I found a sollution...
Dont extract it with winrar or something but mount it with daemon tools and then copy the virtual map to your hdd

I can confirm that copying from a mounted disk and not extracting with winrar is the solution to this problem.Hope that helps a lot of ppl

how large is your launcher.exe file? and does it have a normal icon or has it DOS application icon?
first I mounted iso with daemontools and kopied to HDD. it didn't work
then i deleted it and exctracted from iso with isobusted, but it still don't work.
is there any encryption?
help!!
how to I get it work?????????

yes i asked my friend he said me the same with deamon tools and so on.. I tried it and it works without problems...
