If you have Usenet access there is a high quality 1080p version with 1,3 GB. Seems to be untouched, straight from the Blu Ray. Just search for 'dark knight'.

Has anyone noticed in the TV advertisements for the movie its all Keith ledger clips? Its like they don't even care that its a BatMan film anymore now that they can milk this as Keith ledger's last movie as the role of the joker.

Now, I'm gonna venture a guess that you mean Heath Ledger. Now that aside if the adds on TV are the same as the trailers, I think it's fairly understandable that the main villain of the story gets a good portion of the trailer. We already know who batman is from BB. Smile

It is Ledger's last completed film. (he never finished his role for Imaginarium)

No, replaced by another actor halfway through, so not completed. Dark Knight is Heath Ledger's last completed role in a movie.

Didn't know his name from the top of my head sorry bout that. Anyways the ads I saw were literally just shoving him and basically nothing else. I expect to at least see more BatMan but the commercial I saw was like 80% Joker. I also have no idea of the ad was the same as the trailers.

Every big movie with a major following has people that do that. I've seen people dress up for Spider-Man, Pirates, Transformers, Star Wars, LOTR, X-Men, etc.

On the premiere of Lotr I went to, there were people roleplaying scenes from the books, it went for about 10 minutes. There are so many nerds around these films, I think we can feel saver here Wink

Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell have agreed to complete Heath Ledger's role. The film's fantasy premise, and some clever rewrites, will let the actors play a man whose appearance changes as he travels between imaginary worlds.

Could be great if done well.

Edit: Can anyone confirm whether the world premiere is on the 25th or this week already? IMDB is trying to trick me.

wow, this is an amazing article about the shoot and how they integrated IMAX with std 35mm..

"The Dark Knight shot by Wally Pfister, ASC, combines 35mm and Imax 65mm to depict the Cape Crusader’s latest adventure."

bad news kids , some of the footage seen in trailers and tv spots AREN'T in the movie , like the one with Joker sticking his head out the police car ..
now if you ask me , this is a big fuck-up and Nolan had a policy on making no director's cut versions , soooo adios beloved scenes.

off course not, I still think that Batman Begins is one of the best movies to come out since 2000 and definitely the best hero movie ever, I was highly anticipating The Dark Knight, but I honestly had doubts about it being as good as the first, but now that I've read the first reviews and seen the rating, it premieres here on Portugal on the day 24, and I so got to watch it that day Very Happy
