generals, alltho it had nothing to do with the cnc storylines, was probably the best "CnC" labelled game in terms of gameplay and variety. Obviously it lacked the "fun" of older cnc stories, but it sure was better than cnc3.

I liked generals but not for what previous C&C games were. I liked it because it was something better from what the market had at time of its release. And the expansion added some very good features although a bit unbalanced for some races.

with both messages i agree

Red Alert series owns all other RTS games in my books... and i agree that after that i liked generals the best... C&C looks and plays garbage from my point of view...

Yea? Well, being 8+ years old they tend to do that.

Red Alert 2 was best of series. 3 will suck (the generals engine is awful)

RA 1 and 2 are still fun to this day. Once you add shit and features and up the graffix to make the game better, you don't Sad it could be a great game... but it won't be like ra 1 or 2. Not even close.

I guess this more or less confirms that the public beta will be similar but on a first come, first served basis due to what I believe will be a very fast rush for the available keys as most of them will go to subscribers.
(As usual with Fileplanet beta testing. <- Do people even beta test?)

Heh, think about it a bit more - it's a multiplayer beta, how would you play it without a key?

Yes, especially on the Generals engine, which had extensive sandboxes for its games.

Greater than C&c3 means it will be greater than a stinking pile of shit so your prediction is hardly encouraging.

C&C 3 sure was dumbed down for 360 plasma gun halo fanatics
but I still found it quite enjoyable and the live motion scenes were....entertaining in their sort of way , but kane's actor made a solid acting , gotta give him that
anything else wasn't something we've never seen before , but I didn't pay for it so I don't mind
Hope RA3 is as good as 1&2

HD cutscenes, and probably not compressed too much to allow slower computers to decode the videostream.

x360 version will be only 6gig so why pc needs this 6 gig extra , but like Rinze said they aim for low/average PCs so this means HD uncompresed ... its like with Strangle Hold or Turok , both games on the x360 where 1 dvd9 (combined size of those 2 dvd9 = 14 gig) but on PC both combined took 40 gig Laughing crazy isn't

Did you even read what i said, and what the system requirements read?

Requirements with the DVD is: 6GB
Requirements with EA-Link is: 12GB

The reason why that is, is because the game has to be downloaded to be stored and installed, that's why 6+6 = 12.

fuck that, I instantly hate games that rape the size trolley. Stranglehold or whatever it was called was the last one I didnt download because despite it looking good ; was huge. Its too much of a pain in the ass.
