My cousin came over last night and we played this game for 6 hours straight until 5am. I am officially addicted.

They could of added um more to the story mode.. It's fun playing it on live though.

Dont get it for the single player. Underwhelming to say the least. No intro video just text. The ending videos are short and not fun to watch. I beat the Appretice pretty easily by tapping Y throughtout. I dunno what the buzz is about. Multiplayer is mildly entertaining. Hope SF IV turns out to be better produced.

don't know why people are saying Story/ quest mode isn't what makes the SC series. I always though it was exactly that that set it apart from all the fighting games and previously done very well and to a high standard. This edition simply does not, it just another fighting game with weapons much like how they release the XBL version of which they stripped the quest mode out of that also.

How important are combo's in this game?
The only fighting game I've ever really played is Mortal Kombat I, II, and III on PC (II on PS3) - which basically comes down to memorizing combos. Were it not for the fatalities, I'd say MK sucks.
Is this game more react intelligently to moves, or simply more memorize and spam combos. Any plans for a demo? Would like to know before I shell out $60 for it heh.

It's more react to moves. There are pretty awesome combos, but you can see them coming from a mile away and just dodge or block them. If you play a good player there might just be 20 seconds of block, counter-attack getting blocked, counter-attack again getting blocked.
If both players know their shit you really have to work to get hits in, it's awesome.
I'll take this baby online once it's officially released so that I can be on the safe side. I bet I'll be annoyed after 3 fights though because all the xbox kiddies will just choose yoda and the apprentice.

I find Astorath a little too slow. I usually play with Shura or customized Shura:
Shes fast and has long reach. And her moves do so much damage its almost like cheating

I am almost tempted to get this based on you guys' glowing reviews but I know I will play it for 10 minutes no more. So skip for me...glad theres so many games to play on consoles compared to the pc.

did it first go... i dont like playing with or against yoda when playing with my mate, he's too fuckin short, so most attacks go over his head.
The apprentice is nice tho, he can string moves together quite easily.
