Windows xp pro has inbuilt encryption support. JUst right click and encrypt.
I imagine that would be rather poo though. As always my over the top opinion on how horrid M$ is comes into play, but lets face it, trying to hide information (encryptions best use), using a tool made by the company who probably wants the information, is a BAD plan.
And also, they will probably be able to decrypt such things very easily !
You can encrypt entire partitions with pgp, however this is only implemented in the commercial version. Another program is DriveCrypt Plus Pack DCPP there you can eecrypt the system partition as well and enable a pre boot verfication. Just google for more apps.
