The fantasy action adventure game Overlord will be followed by a sequel next year, Codemasters and developer Triumph Studios anounced today.
In development for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Triumph promises "epic battles, all new Minion play mechanics, stunningly detailed new visuals and a fresh theme" for the game.
The Overlord franchise is heading to new platforms as well. Also scheduled for a 2009 release are Overlord Dark Legend, an all-new action adventure game for the Wii featuring minion control through the Wii Remote and Overlord Minions, a puzzle action game for the Nintendo DS. Both these games will be developed by Climax Studios

I really enjoyed teh first one, a great game, but when it came to the expansion I started playing and about a minute in just got the whole meh, been there and uninstalled.
So not sure it's really sequel tackle, it's nbot deep enough for similiar to be different enough. Will probably try it but.

One of the funniest games I played. The expansion is not bad either.

It was quite boring for me, after 3 or 4 hours of playing it becomes way too repetitive.

Was very fun, a lot of people enjoyed it. It does have some draw backs that kept it from being the best ever.
- You had 4 types of gremlins, after you got all 4 and could use them all, the rest of the game pretty much got boring.
- You are able to be evil but without really being able to be evil. I get more evil satisfaction reading baby jokes than the "evil" they offered. It was done better in fable even though it wasn't that great at it either.
- If you don't have a gamepad, i found the controls to be very difficult

If you like the game you get more of the fun with the expansion.
Get "Overlord_Rising_Hell-HATRED" And you get the original and expansion in one pack.

If you get the expansion after finishing the original game you can continue from there all you need to do is beat the last boss again. If you start the game from the beginning and have the expansion installed the expansion worlds will pop up all after you kill the bosses.

http://kotaku.com/5037789/overlord-ii-+-now-with-50-more-evil
Quote: | Overlord II - Now With 50% More Evil!
Codemasters are to release a sequel to their 2007 minion-wrangling game Overlord that will pit the player-controlled title character and his chaotic army against an uptight, by-the-book Empire.
The original game challenged you to be either evil or really evil. This, apparently, was just not flippin' evil enough to satisfy developers Triumph.
Game director Lennart Sas told Eurogamer, "Now the choices are between lawful evil and chaotic evil, which usually translates to either enslaving the population or all-out scorched earth."
Major changes to the game include minions with proper names and personalities as opposed to just random flunkys. This will establish "relationships between master and underling" which frankly sounds a bit pervy. And evil. Definitely evil. |

The first game was decent, hopefully they'll learn from it's problems as it has a lot of potential.
Definitely a game worth keeping an eye on though.
