You've always needed a legit key to go online, what are you retarded? Pirates are happy with the single player in most games.

Mini-review:
Story:
Nothing new here, mandkind's being systematically eradicated after encountering a hostile enemy force. The aliens followed the colonization ships back to Earth and well, started to root out mankind. You are Seth Walker, on the run from the alien fleet. Aliens boarded the colonization ship and you've gotta fight em. That's it.
Score: 6,5
Graphics:
Well, they're ok. It's not the best around, but for a game of this caliber, super hi-tech graphics aren't needed. There are some nice special effects like explosions and electricity etc, but nothing to write home about.
Score: 7,5
Gameplay:
Room for improvement here. Controls are simply your mouse to move and shoot and your keyboard to move the camera and use abilities. But there's a catch, you can't move with your keyboard which can be quite annoying as you want to dodge incoming fire and return fire at the same time. There is a dodge move, but when your mouse is on the enemy and you want to dodge incoming fire, you move towards your mouse instead of, let say, sideways. I'm not completely negative about the controls and camera, but it could've been better. A lot better.
So you start off as an experienced marine/robotics specialist with a machine gun and some grenades to repel the alien invasion. But as soon as you've played through the first part, you lose your grenades and you machine gun and have to use your blade for a while. This comes somewhat unexpected and you'll have to find new weapons all over again. I guess they meant this to be challenging, but it's brought in such a way that it surprises you, in an irritating way. Ok, soon after you lose the machine gun, you find some guns again. But they're not as half as good or effective as the gun you started with.
Then there's the upgrades and skills. As you might know, you can find cybernetic parts in the game and install them on your body. The only catch is that you lose your humanity. Install cybernetic legs and you lose about 15% of your humanity. So what does that mean? Well, the skill tree has some general abilities, cybernetic and human abilities. Cybernetic abilities obviously require cybernetic parts. General abilites are just general, without cybernetic or human requirements and then there's the human abilites. Well, they've made it absolutely NOT attractive to stay human at all. There are just two human abilities that require 90% humanity and they're not even that great to miss out on the cybernetic bonuses you can get.
I haven't played it enough to see if there are more bad or good elements, so for now I conclude this mini review.
Gameplay score: 6-
Average score:
6,7

nice review. Yeah the movement controls you described bugged me too when I tried the demo. It doesn't feel right always having to click every few seconds to dodge the enemy fire then clicking the enemy again over and over. Pity they didn't make more of the human/cybernetic aspect too... maybe the only bonus you will get with staying human is just a different ending..?

the game could've used the WASD , shooting games mean fast movement and avoiding projectiles with the mouse it's not that comfortable doing
I guess they did it just to give it an RPG element or feel , I'm still at the beginning tho

The controls are like Dungeon Siege with a dodge button. I don't see why people are still expecting Shadowgrounds.

Well, it's good entertainment while i'm waiting for Clear Sky. But it's not a game that i'm gonna reinstall after a year to play it again. It's amusing for the time being, but that's maybe because of the lack of better games atm.

Maybe because it has virtually the same upgrade system as shadowgrounds (they didnt even try to hide that they copied it from there)
It has virtually no rpg elements left ... sure you can choose some skills but seriously there is no rpg left in there.

Sounds like my kind of game but the bad reviews really put me away from it, I love sci-fi settings.

No, unfortunately. You find new weapons and cybernetic upgrades as part of the plot - and you get "upgrade parts" which are used to upgrade weapons and armour, from killed enemies.
