xD
It's not just the exclusives, but the bad quality of ports, lack of content, too little innovation, etc. that's put into the pc games.

PC gamers get fed up with the attitude the gaming industry is giving them. "Meh, pc's dont count anymore. Consoles are easy money." It just RUINS games and with that, RUINS our willingness to waste our money on SHITE.

I do pirate games more than I'd ever buy simply cause I like doing it, and relax man you aint losing any money cause IF all PC games had some kind of protection that's uncrackable then I wouldn't buy em, which is the reason why I haven't bought a PS3 yet! I have a PSX, PS2, PSP and soon will buy an xbox360, I believe one MAJOR reason why PS3 is not selling well is because of no pirated games otherwise xbox360 wouldn't have sold this many systems if it was uncrackable. I HATE xbox systems/controller but now I'm trying to convince myself that it's the way to go cause of avaliable pirated games, once they crack the PS3 I'll be buying one too. I love the PS3, but I just can't afford buying tons of games for it and will just end up like my friend who has a ps3 & a couple of games collecting dust.

The way I see it, pc games are nothing but another computer software, I just test drive them. For example: I used to use kaspersky products few years ago, but now there're making it harder for pirates to use thier somftware ( it's cracked and everything, but harder ) I stopped using thier software and now I use AVG. Did they lose my money? How could they lose money that I'd never give them anyway?

This guy should know beter than blame pc game pirates!! It doesn't make any sense whatsoever, XBOX360 pirated games library is HUGE and I don't see him whine about that?

I'd love to understand why those guys whine so much about pc games pirates and not care about the high % of console pirates??

BREAKING NEWS: a console game publisher/developer says that he's being pushed towards closed apple macx development because there're no viruses in macx.

Well i have both systems a pc and a console,i have just one original for xbox, and came with the console (GTA).

Most of console games are so retarded,it´s sad pc always have more room to innovation,in consoles looks like developers keep repeating the formula again and again.

The biggest it now its soulcalibur...a lot of sad kids find it a good game, its the same dreamcast crap with new shining graphics.it´s fun for a while but it´s an example of the crap that consoles have.

Piracy in consoles its way too much worse.

I pirate games because they simply dosen´t worth the money

I live in Argentina here games cost like U$$80, but in my economy its like U$300 ,an average guy earns U$$600 but rent is around U$300,so we are truly fucked.

I started out with piracy as a kid. When a friend said he had a good game you asked for it and got a copy on a diskette (and later on stacks of diskettes). I didn't know there was an alternative, except for the shareware games that told you to send money to America, but that didn't seem workable to me.

Years later I was quite surprised when one day my father brought a bought game home, I really didn't have any idea you could actually buy games in our country. I guess at that point I knew you could buy games, but I didn't because I had no money for it. Only once I started making some money I started buying 1 or 2 games a year because I wanted to use the multiplayer aspect.

Nowadays I try to make an effort to buy the software I like and use regularly (or to find a free alternative). One of the reasons is I am not involved in piracy as much as when I was a kid. In 2000 it took me 20 to 30 minutes to download a one cd game because I spent a lot of time hanging out on irc and had the right connections. Now I don't have such connections so if I want to download I have to use torrents like the pirate bay, and suddenly it takes hours or days to download a game, when I can go to the game's website, pay for it and download it immediately, or I can go to the shop and pick it up and be out of the shop with the game 5 minutes later( if it's available Sad ).

So for me it's just more efficient to pay for the games/software. But it only happened once I started to make enough money, and online distribution and paying methods have to work well.

Well, he has responded and amongst a list of other things he is ditching DRM, lengthening his demos (something I'm glad for), reducing prices on older games (and potentially new releases - though seems reasonable as it is). There's a lot more on his website here; http://www.positech.co.uk/talkingtopirates.html

Seems a fair response. I wish most devs would listen like him instead of attacking us.

Uhuh, that's a very neat response. I almost feel like buying one of his games just to reward him for doing this, even though I've no idea what kind of games he make.

Hope he keeps us updated on if the measures he took were successful, or if they just lead to his bankruptcy.
