In first, Hello, 2nd excuse me for my English, I'm French (nobody is perfect).
I had download the emporio iso file of HL2, i executed all the indications in the 2 nfo files (emporio and ape) but when i launch the game after the introduction the game stop alone and i have an error message who tell me something like that "can't connect to steam server for dl the news files" also when i launch the ape fix i have a message in the dos windows who tell me that :
" Command name or file incorect
Impossible to load the support IPX/SPX VDM
hl2 emporio fix by ape. http://gametraining.info
Press <Any Key> for continue or <Esc> for Exit..."
It's a translatio from french except for the last line.
Also i have a another error message after the first i will post this in few moment.
Some news data :
exactly the message with steam is :
"connection to steam servers lost.
Could not acquire necessary games files"
The message after is (translation from french) :
"The instructio from "0x240fb0e3" use the following adress "0x0000011c". The memory can not be "read" (in english in the message). Clique on Ok to finish the soft"

it can't connect to authentificate with STEAM .... maybe you've been banned , VALVe catched you with a warez copy ... more than this i can't say .

get the new PROPER offline-no activation , maybe that will work ;]

i'm getting this same problem I've been playing the game fine for a while and no problems, now I get this error, is there a fix for it at all? if I buy the retail game, will that work? thanks!
