got the PAL version, but it runs in widescreen with huge black bars on top and bottom on a widescreen monitor, what is up with that?
anyone else running the PAL or NTSC version have the same issue?

In my opinion, EA out did themselves this time. I wasn't expecting much but I am really surprised. The game is just stunning to look at. The controls are really fluid this time around as well.
Quite a few improvements over past incarnations.
Much more like a tv presentation this time around.
Sucks I downloaded the regular anniversary version... now I have to download this one because it comes with head coach 2009 which allows you to draw your own plays.

I don't get it why EA releases Madden on Pal but not NCAA, at least they could make it region free.

I hate to waste a disk if it isn't as I already have the regular burned.

For those that care: Ok, this IS the collector's edition. However, Head Coach 09 apparently comes on a separate disk with the collector's edition because it isn't in the menu anywhere. It does have a "Collector's Edition" selection and then it allows you to play Madden '93 for nostalgia purposes.
Sucks. i guess i will have to keep a lookout for Head Coach 09 so i can delve into designing my own plays and such.

Missed the flaming here but id just like to add that there are plenty of people who enjoy American Football (yeah that's what its really called so shut it) outside the US and the game works very well in the videogame format if you ask me.
