I need to moan.

I'm sat doing TV graphics at the Bucharest race this weekend (FIA GT Championship).

Its 36 degrees outside and its hotter in this portacabin due to about 9 servers and various other computer equipment.

I forgot my shorts. I have a broken thumb so all bandaged up which is the equivalent of wearing a really thick glove.

I was up at 5:30am to work through to 9pm so getting a little tired.

On top of that, we've had a load of support races today and they've been slow and rubbish with about 2 overtakes in the whole entire race.

Yeah. I think that might have covered the moan. Same again tomorrow I reckon as its not getting any cooler.

Yeah, it is noisy. I'm about 5 meters from the track but thankfully we've got double glazing. Can't beat the noise of a corvette (unsilenced) Smile

I have to say the noise is cool for about 5 minutes or so. Right now i think it's the GT1 race ... and when they go up that hill the sound is impressive ... like a gazillion WW II fighters ready to start bombing the place ... but then again, please make it stop!! :-'(

Yea I can concur on the noise. Been to Hockenheim (F1 races) many o times. It's deafening to say the least. Since the 1st time, I always bring earplugs.

We have the Molson Indi here or we used too. When I lived at home I could hear them and they were across the city downtown. The noice would bounce off the buildings.

Did you think about taking a cooler full of ice with snack size melon & veg baggies + few bottles of water ? You want to keep cool in a porta`cabin you need to set yourself up. The heat wont get to you if you keep your energy up & your core cool. Take care of yourself. Wink

I went to TT bike races all the time as a kid, the noise was one of the coolest things about it. Smile

Age is only as good as your ability to learn fro it. Laughing

I spent many many a day in teh heat before I wized the phuck up & started packing for it. Its a killer if you don't respect it & respond accordingly.

I remember when I spent some time in spain. All I remember vividly is getting off the plane and the heat just hit me like a ton of bricks.. It was so damn hot, you could feel your sweat pours opening on your face Neutral I litterally had dripping pits only 1 min or so after getting off the plane.

I can't imagine being any hotter than that was, but no doubt it is a lot hotter in other places.

I just thank Evian for bailing me out Laughing I think I drank about 2 Litres in 30 minutes.

If you take anything out of the fridge its warm within about 5 minutes. My bottle of water is hot enough to make a cup of tea with (admittadly a rubbish one). Hardware just pumping out too much heat.

32 degrees so far today (at 10:45am) so its gonna be another hot one.
No offense to anyone but I'm done with this event and want out of Romania. Bring me the rain of the UK Very Happy
