I never told her one bad word, in case you haven't figured that out by now, I can say that here after the facts, does that mean I said it to her face. How I let her down was very friendly, I just said that my feelings were very strong for her and being friends would just be too hurtful to be around her. And that was the end of it.
Update on situation : We both met through an online dating site as some of you may remember, for 2 months she still kept going online all the while with us seeing eachother. But now all of a sudden she has deactivated her account(just today, 1 day and a half after I was out of her life).
So what do you think about this, in my eyes it can only mean one of two things,
- She is very sad and is through with internet dating and realizes she has lost something.
- She was indeed stringing me along and found someone else through this dating site who clearly doesn't appreciate her being online on this site and thus she deactivated her account.
Only time will tell which of the two applies.

Today two new broads showed an intrest in me, so I am moving on, moving too fast, I don't care, out with the old in with the new is allways something I live by:) Once someone else shows an intrest then I do not have any other emotional baggage, its fair on everyone.

i usually need a pretty long time to cleanse myself of an old relationship. That way i dont generalize errors and hurts of past partners onto new ones. And i always aim for a stable, lasting relationship rather than shiny looking propped up disco-babes, so i take things slow anyways to get to know the other one before commiting...
...guess i ll have one of those cleansing periods right in front of me now :-/

mate, trust me, waiting is not good, if your mind is strong and you can put things into perspective you won't generalize errors of past shit onto your new relationship. Only thing I will be carrying over now is what Nuke said about not being too good anymore, atleast not early on, I will hold my ground and stick to my principles now.

Well read what i typed above mate, about her deactivating her account yesterday, found it most peculiar indeed. One point worth mentioning is that I pimped my online profile yesterday, it now had a kickass text that even when I read it makes me wanna go ahead and contact myself. I put up another picture of myself, and been online with that account atleast 18h a day for last 2 days since she dropped the bombshell.
And frankly I don't give a fuck, I'm not gonna crawl back to her, its up to her now, if she does I will be receptive, else I am moving on like I am doing now.
I will however send her a postcard from Turkey, just to show I am not a total asshole.

Go ahead and give online dating sites a try. I met my wife online (though through a chatroom not a dating site) So the internet has worked wonders for me and I know its worked for others as well.
If it wasn't for the internet I wouldn't have found her and I would have never had my son.
People like to give online dating a bad prejudgment yet its much safer and better than meeting someone in a common place such as a bar if you really think about it.
