i guess just when Atari will remove activation limits and the DRM from the securom like 2k have done for bioshock there will be a chance to get it cracked. not before

Atari is not dead. yes they haved financials problems but they are yet still alive. fallout 3 will be distribuite from Atari

That change is done server side, has nothing to do with crack.  |

Fallout 3 is being published by Zenimax Studios, who also published the other Elder Scrolls titles from Bethesda Softworks.

Atari will never die. Atari is like Ubisoft one of the more biggest companies in the world that product and distribute videogames. so if it died also more games died with it

That's what I used to think .. but for a company that is, as you say, reputedly one of the biggest ... then why is it facing bankruptcy? They don't deal with hardware anymore, now they just publish A-class titles - they should be raking in the money (and for the love of god, don't blame Piracy either)

Atari isn't the original Atari.
The Atari now is basically Infogrames.
They suck. I mean WTF @ postponing the release of a game that was finished a year or so ago just so they could implement their own DRM.

I wonder how much of the sales of AITD were from the PC?? If its high - for sure lots of publishers are gonna be loving this protection.

I bet they never tell. I'm sure sales were either about the same if it was being pirated or maybe even slightly less because of such harsh protection that burdens the people who bought it. But they won't release such info because it will only look bad on the protection and
prove piracy just doesn't hurt.

I don't know about US but I never saw AITD in the Top10 German media control charts for PC games. Interestingly, two weeks ago Assassin's Creed was still #3 and now it's still #7.

Finally there seems to be a working crack out made by darkcoder, the guy that was first to "fix" Bioshock.

Ps. It seems that one will have to use a mini image or possibly a clonedvd to make it work fully, there is an mini image available on gcw. Since I don't have the game myself I can't promise anything, but there is some positive comments on the provided link (scroll down to post 3074 and read on from there.
