When you installed, did you check all the boxes? And when the installation was complete, did you uncheck the last box? And after that you needed to copy and paste the protection file into the bin folder and start the game from either the deskop or start menu.

Imo you're as blind as a mole Michela. You couldn't tell if you were playing it on DX9 or DX10 apart from the smoke and wet surfaces. There are NO textures differences, NO difference in lightning, NO difference in parallax mapping, NO difference in sunshafts, etc. The only difference, as JBeckman stated above, are viewable in the console commands and those are wet surfaces and volumetric smoke.
As none of the above screens show those effects, there's no reason AT ALL to call those screens ugly, just because YOU are running it on DX10.
And watch it with your "stupid idiot".

omg. And that's the difference between DX9 and DX10? That's why they're ugly? xD Just because YOUR monitor support a higher resolution, there's no reason to call the other screens ugly.
Oh btw, you've just been reported. Have fun.

Wow, Clear Sky is really looking great.
Is the game more optimized? What kind of specs do you guys that are posting screen shots have?
I just finished SOC on all medium settings and it ran smoothly, however other more graphic intensive games I have run on higher settings, so I am hoping I might be able to run CS on higher settings.
My Rig is:
3.6 GHz Dual Core P4 Processor
2GB of RAM
Nvidia 7600GT OC'ed
For the people that have CS, what settings do you think I could use?

I think you'll be able to run it at medium or high. Though this game is quite a bit intenser than SoC, so maybe it'll run a bit slower than you're used to.

Guys, did you follow these steps?
When you're about to install, make sure that you check all the check boxes and then install the game. After thats done and you enter the serial key, uncheck the last box and finish the installation. Then go replace the protection file with the cracked one and start the game through start menu

Do you HAVE to put in a serial key? Or is it like SOC where you only have to enter a CD-Key if you want to play online?

Wait, i think i get it. Install the game. Copy the protect.dll from the unpatched version to a folder. Then install the patch. Again copy the newer protect.dll to another directory. Then put the first protect.dll in the game folder, run the game and wait for error. Then unmount the image and replace the older protect.dll by the newer one and run game.
Correct me if i'm wrong.

then don't install it and wait for a proper scene release or buy it when it comes out.
