Anyone have a set of (semi-)translated dialog files? I figured out how to use fast travel and such, but I've no idea what so ever what the guys are talking about.
Anyway, I like what I've seen so far. The faction wars are an okay distraction, although nothing special, but the capturing of camps is fun. I like how the NPCs now take cover, although the AI could still use alot of work.
Someone mentioned it was only 6 hours of gameplay, can anyone confirm this? Think I've played for about two hours now doing nothing but helping the starting faction capture camps, without doing much story-wise, and the map seems *huge*. You can visit the power plant and such in this game too, right?
Now that the performance has sorted itself out, my only problem is crashing. I seem to crash maybe once every 30 minutes or so, usually related to something I do in the game.

Alright, sounds good ArtursL.
I just left the starting area, going over to the location where you start in the first Stalker. There was some kind of insane machine gunner there which completely raped me if I tried to proceed, so I had to turn back. When I went back to the previous area again, I was suddenly no longer a part of the faction I'd joined, so they want me to pay for fast travel and such. Is this just a bug?

Had the same thing, I wasn't a part of clear sky when left the first level, as far as I can tell, the whole Faction war thing comes later in the game (i am not counting the first level, I think it was meant to be like tutorial) Because i've tried joining 2 other factions and they said that they will contact me later.
edit: Of course, they ask you to help them take over some locations, but you're not doing it as part of the faction, just as a merc.

Just turn AA off, it's not like you've got the time to look at the edges of a building in the middle of a firefight now, do you? It causes a huge performance hit at a very low improvement.

as for the game well I gave it a chance and all I can say is that it sucks
it's buggy as hell , the weapons suck so much i think the big let down is the weapons and Combat , I had to restart some levels because the AI got stuck aiming at something while I have to follow/talk to or they walk through fire and burn themselves
and I see Clear sky isn't a big improvement either the hands design looks unrealistic it's like a troll's hands, I just can't see what the fuss is all about and 80% of speech is in russian and I can't understand it , except the store guy or bar ..etc
only 4 voice actors at best doing all the voices which is disappointing
I'll give clear sky a shot nonetheless when a proper english release is out
note that I've played it with no mods whatsoever

stop mentioning steam in 98% of your posts
steam isn't special, the same game will be there and if fixes for steam version are out same goes for retail one

yes the devs make games buggy on purpose, they dont mind bad reviews, bad words among players and stuff, they just like to piss of people with buggy games so they can fix it later only for the ones that bought it
no boundle, the devs arnt that retarded, unlike you

Boundle is an excellent troll or a stupid, very stupid person.
How in the fucking hell you think the devs will make the game buggy on purpose? Do you think their job is a game and that they can afford to let one bug or another slip by? They have a reputation and such, they have to take care of.
This guy is obviously trolling, ban the fucker PLEASE

Gah, faction wars seem to be damn broken at the moment, the capture system is retarded and the faction AI thing (squads that are supposed to help you with capturing and all that) is pretty much broken, they get lost, just don't go to the current objective and all that.
And I also hate the respawn system, cleared the Duty base, walk outside of it for a couple of meters and blam, half of the base has respawned.

What kinda ending is that Firemaster? seems like one of the bad endings from Shadow of Chernobyl as Clear Sky is more story focused and only has one ending.
(Only one ending video as well, didn't understand much of it though.)

Personally im thinking of waiting a few months for the modders to get the game. I initially wanted to buy the game (thank god for internet), but now i'll wait for the mods and then buy, will not even download now. Comments about the game on Russian tracker are very downing, tons of bugs, broken AI and buggy faction wars (as mentioned before), broken scripts, and just generally unpolished game with potential. You'd think GSC would learn their lesson from first stalker, it was an awesome game that i completed with all the bugs and with no patches, but then realized what it couldve been after i played it with several mods.
Sig too big. -Nothing is too big for Fedor. Expect a nasty armbar.
