I emailed like 10 different internetstores here in sweden lol, asking if they would ship it today if i ordered, otherwise i'd buy from another store.

Hahah. I can't wait to read all the pages of people's disappointment with this game when you finally get it. Some of you seriously have too high expectations I think. I'm glad I am not Jonesing over this like some seem to be. Will Wright was right.

I've read somewhere else, that Spore is the new Black & White. Sure the game will be fun, but there's so MUCH hype going on around this.

I fell for the Black and White hype as well - ran out on my birthday to buy it (got the good version ) - and whilst it was a disappointment in many respects I still thoroughly enjoyed the game.

Taking for granted that people will be dissapointed just because they anticipate it is just foolish.
I expect nothing more than exactly what i have seen in the later videos and stuff, so i KNOW for a fact that i cant be dissapointed, only happily surprised.
It doesnt make the game any less amazing.

Usually I'm not one for these kind of games, but the science of it has got me deeply intrigued, although it's all very basic, nevertheless I've preordered a retail copy.
Never would've thought I'd buy a Maxis game and one with such and archaic copyprotection at that, not because I'm hyped but because it's the first time theres a game like this, and one that I no doubt can enjoy with my better half
You know the really shitty thing is if this game sells as well as its expected too and if people fall in love with the game causing even more to rush out and buy it. I bet they will simply credit the DRM has the cause of the sales instead of the game itself or the ability to use Sporepedia.

The more people that buys it, especially the casual gamers they so desperatly seek, the more people will be OUTRAGED at the 3 install limit.
Trust me, when you have 5 million casual gamers that had NO idea you werent allowed to install it more than 3 times (regardless if it says so in fine-print on the box), EA will have no choice but to change it in a patch or whatever.
I mean, its one thing if 500 people in total complain on some random forums, but its a whole other thing when 5 million people start calling customer support and sending angry letters.
Never underestimate the power of a mass of customers. In the end, if they keep screwing people over, they will loose sales, and sales is their lifeblood.
