One of the first beat up challenges you are faced is to help your cousin as he gets beat up in the basketball court by two goons. Once they are dead you have to follow another guy with a knife by car (in your cousins car) and then follow him up some stairs for a face off. The game then prompts you to take the knife off him and kill him with it....how the hell!! I push the buttons it tells me to push but all i do is jump around the place like an idiot and eventually i get stabbed to death...very very annoying. How is this done?!

You have to time a block with one of his attacks to do a counter and disarm him. You also have to lock on of course. He might as well learn now, it comes in useful when you're being attacked by multiple people in melee.
