Too bad the demo only includes the tutorials, but I have this game for my PS2.
I must say they changed the gui alot from the PS2 version, it seems it's not just a cheap port.

Me too. Demo is quite good, I think there may even be a way to make extander for it. Will see if it's possible to lock counter for 'Techniques' tutorial, that way you may have whole map to play.
update, it works, only one huge problem. Demo looses all tutorial progress on game exit, so to get to that mission you need to replay all previous, imo really not worth the bother.
Still, to get it to work just use cheat engine. Find value for technique points, and lock it so it never reaches required value. It also works for last mission, where even AI works, just lock time counter and don't capture objective city.

already been playing rot3k xi + puk japanese version with english patch for a year.
once you played a rot3k game with a puk you can't go back to a non-puk version of it...
great game though, I liked Rot3k 8 best, but they're all nice.

I don't think so.
The english ps2 versions of the rot3k games also never included a PUK, eventhough they are usually released after the japanese PUK for the japanese PS2 version is already out. :-(
They're only released in asia (japanese and chinese) it seems.

From legendary video game producer Kou Shibusawa comes his next historical
simulation masterpiece. Rediscover an ancient civilisation with an explosive

cities, manage their personnel, practice diplomacy and much more. Complete
freedom to develop markets, shipyards, outposts, forts and military units

So i moved manually the file -> no luck

I'll try to completely reinstall but so far i'm unimpressed by the installer picked for this release

I liked RTK X better (PS2), it had more RPG elements. Hopefulley RTK XII will be more like RTK X and will come out for PC also.

Yeah, this lacks RPG elements. The older game, III or was it V that I played on the PC had more RPG-ish elements.

Wow is the AI aggressive in this game. I allied myself with the Sun family as they are one of the most powerful and were my direct neighbor assuming they would ignore me until they are done with the neighbors that they aren't allied with them. Boy was I wrong they told me the alliance was off and then sent troops into my land. I fought them off and captured one of their cities and killed their faction leader. This made them go completely insane must have sent at least 10 units out to recapture the town. Just then my other neighbors started attacking me from the other side. The Sun family retook the town which I was able to recapture just barely with my remaining forces outside of it. Now I have rebels spawning deeper in my territory which of course has little officers who aren't combat material because my combat worthy officers had to deal with the Sun family. So now I'm just fucked. I'm being attacked from several sides and from rebels. My main forces lost about 70% of their men fighting the damn Sun family and are to far to even help some of my cities in time.

Don't bother trying with Luo Yang as a city then. It's that place with Cao Cao as a neighbor in the 194 or so scenario.
Fucking Cao Cao. Holding the gate was close to impossible. I thought I could deal with it, but fuck. I had to constantly train units to hold the gate, and since I lacked officers, my city's order and the army's will was pretty fucked.
:/
Anyway, the game is all right, but I'm definitely disappointed they chose this game to translate. Without the PUK no one is going to buy this game, so they pretty much wasted cash translating it. Which means close to no chance of RotK XII and any other sequels getting translated.
/sigh
If only they translated X with the PUK, it would definitely be one of the top games of the year.
