1 box, 2 licenses
1 license can be used online at a time; implying you use either your PC or your notebook, but not both at the same time.
2 can be played via LAN
2 can be used for SP
unlimited installations, 2 activations
Activations can be revoked through multiple channels (online-auto, online tools, offline). Revoke & re-activate can be done an unlimited number of times.
One PC component can be replaced without problems. Beyond that revoke & re-activate is the recommended procedure.
There will be an emergency hotline for DRM issues due to failed hardware, etc. The manual page with the key serves as proof of purchase.
The hotline will be available 365 days a year, 24 hours per day. For standard phone rates. (This may apply for Germany only.; ed.)
Internet connection is needed during installation. The FAQ explains you can use a friend's PC for manual activation though.
You can play without the DVD. It´s not needed in the drive.
No private data will be transfered during the activation process. You cannot even enter critical data.
The activation servers will be available for the next couple of years. Should this no longer be the case, the DRM will be patched out.
"A transfer to a third [party] is not part of the license." (transl.)

Yeah I was gonna post that too when I laughed so hard the other day when my eyes recorded it in my brain.

WoW can this whole sh*t get any f'ning more like a Totalitarian State? I really love it how these PC Games all require the Internet and, worse still, ASSUME in 5-10years these authentication servers will be around? Gawd the amazing stupidity! We're "pre-coastering our purchased media" so that classic games like these will utterly DEMAND A CRACK to work for future generations. This is an absolutely shameful time for PC gaming distribution and its consumer promoting even more torrent downloads and cracking.

In 5-10 years the multi player servers will be down any way so there will be only singe player, and sacred 2 do let you activate manually so a keygen can be used here.

Why would they be down in 5-10 years?

who will want to play this in 5-10 years anyway ? ^^ Btw, i suggest to read the whole thing, they clearly said the DRM will be patched out once they take down the auth servers. And seriously, its a lot better what they do, than what the securom using publishers do. At least they don't limit you to 5 total installs. They clearly says it can be reinstalled unlimited times, and heck, even twice to play LAN or SP ... I know there are a lot of wannabe pirates here lol, but don't bash something solely for the fact that you don't wanna wait a couple days for a crack ...

Yeah it was pretty funny as such though still a bit odd for a intro movie, hopefully GameTrailers will have a larger resolution video available later. Smile

Sacred was also a bit over the top compared to other "hack&slash" titles with a insane level cap (250) and tons of weird items that all scaled depending on character level and difficulty level.

I read that the game will be released for PC same time as other platforms in November, but saw a recent story that the game went gold and will be released Sept 30 for PC. Anyone know when it actually comes out?

I don't mind the syncing but the actual language. If a game has Swedish voices I'll still play it in English. It just feels wrong playing in anything but English for me. Razz

Apparently the Osiris looking creature is called "Temple guardian" thats the class that you can also play aside from the other classis which are "Seraphim, Shadow Warrior, High elf, Dryade, and Inquisitor" so 6 classes all in all.
Seraphim is the goody-two-shoes class of the game which uses otherworldly technology to defeat her enemies.
The Shadow Warrior is like the Dark Elf from the previous game, only now hes more tuned towards death and not poisons.
The High Elf is the Sorceress class like in Diablo 2.
The Dryade wields a bow and can summon/train creatures and mounts to help her in battles.
Then theres the Inquisitor which is the Necromancer class, he wields lightning from his fingertips and can manipulate death and the dying.
Not much is known about the Temple Guardian only that it's non humanoid and like the Seraphim, wields otherworldly technology and is presumeably evil, where the Seraphim is good, so there will be two polar opposite classes and then all the others are in between. I should also mention that the Temple Guardian has not been officially announced as it's supposed to be "secret" but as it can be seen in this music video it does indeed exist as beta testers claim.

I think this will be a great hack n slash game and will definitely buy it upon release.

They announced earlier that a demo would come either just before the release or immediatly after the release and they were talking about the german release.
Also watch these nice videos of the temple guardian, yes they did remove the metallic running sound Razz
