Recently I found out some pretty important info. The secondary error code list on xbox-scene is outdated. Use Wilhelmi's error code list (http://xe.brothersoffreedom.com/en/errorcodes.php) for the most up to date information on error codes. For example, error code 0022 is actually GPU related. But if you look on the outdated error code list on xbox-scene, it says that the problem is CPU related. HUUUUGE inaccuracy there.
Use Wilhelmi's list! It even tells you how to fix the error. And if you have questions for him, you can usually find him on xbox-scene technial hardware section. He helped me many times whenever I was stuck with a problem which nobody else seemed to have the answer to.

Well i fixed mine, for now anyways.
First did the whole x-clamp thing, bought screws and washers and what not. Didn't work. So after some monologue arguing i overheated it while the motherboard was disassembled, voila now it works.
I'm sure it'll catch on fire and burn my apartment down any day now but what the heck, at least i get to play some NHL 09, which by the way is the awesomez.

All righty. My ghetto-fix lasted two weeks, now it's freezing again
So I've got two questions.
1. Will reflowing solve this for me? (Assuming I do it correctly ofc)
2. If it doesn't, can I buy a new 360 Arcade and put my old Hitachi and HDD into it and just keep on playing as if nothing happened?

shouldve placed a alrge warning, DO NOT USE HEATGUN WHILE ENGAGING IN CONVERSATION!!!!!
lol. reflowed my mates 360, all sorted no worries. so it was time for my own. one minute into it, the mrs starts talking to me so I talk back forgetting what im doing and accidently was holding the heatgun VERY close to PCB. next thing, pop as I burn the PCB and blow some caps.lol.
anyways, OT, but how easy is it for me to use my hacked cd-rom drive from this dead 360 and use in another console say even a pro or falcon? i now want HDMI.

I posted this in its own thread, but i will put ithere as well for the benefit of others.
I got the RROD a while back. For a PROPER actual per chip reflow of the Xbox 360 (using an actual reflow work station) AND the xclamp fix with stainless steel materials, give this guy a shot:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Reflow-Broken-Xbox-360-Fix-for-RROD-60-day-Warranty_W0QQitemZ230288008328QQihZ013QQcategoryZ139971QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262
My 4 year old plays it every day for hours a day and has worked perfectly fine since. Cost me 30 bucks.
he guarantees the work for 30 days. If it fails within 30 days, he refunds the money. beyond 30 days, he guarantees the work for life. He will repair it free beyond 30 days should it ever fail again.

Same here. I LOVE my current xbox 360 console (The one I personally use for myself). In between the chips, I kept an extreme thin layer of microsoft paste + added a very fine layer of Arctic Silver 5. The console is unbelievably quiet even when it used to be like 90F degrees in the room. This one doesn't look like it will overheat anytime soon. Whenever my cousins come over theyre like "wtf how is your console so quiet?" lol its truly the quietest Xbox 360 console I have ever worked with. And sound of the console does matter more than you think.
This used to have a 0102, but reflowed it on 750F degree ONLY. After trial and error with some of my previous consoles, I found that 1000F degree setting is too hot and it raises the caps around the chips (sometimes even burning them) no matter how much aluminum you use. And when that happens, it won't result in any immediate problems but you will definitely see RROD again in a month or two.
