Streloks second trip, that protection is a early unstable prototype to avoid a bit of those PSI-Emissions but it's nowhere near as strong as during his third trip where he went straight to the "brain schorcher" itself and shut it down, plus his third trip was from the military warehouses trough the outside of Red Forest and into Pripyat whereas his second trip appears to have been from deeper within Red Forest and trough the town of Limansk (Which doesn't actually exist in reality whereas Pripyat is a real town.)
It should make a bit more sense when you complete the game. 
(It's a bit confusing at times I admit and it took a few replays for me to understand everything about Shadow of Chernobyl's story.)

Ok I've finally installed this game now but since I've moved the files to my install directory on drive c:, since I've done this it's asking me to install some drivers before i launch the game?
Do i install these or is there a way to bypass them?
Can somebody answer my question this time please?

I installed english ver, copied crack over and all files, and right before I run game its asking me to install a driver, I think its tages protection, I dont think I want to do that correct???

protection drivers are for starforce cause the russian workaround replace again it.

with the russian workaround u don't install tages drivers (multi5 version). when u replace all starforce files then game just ask u to install starforce drivers again

u have the russian or multi5 release? Daemon tools don't work with multi5 them are blacklisted for now. u can get drivers protection errors with the multi5 cause there isn't a crack and u have anyway to replace starforce drivers in it

Let it install the drivers it is a necessary part of the process for Multi5 [EFIGS]
The best description on this site of what to do what to do for Clear Sky is JBeckman's informative and free from nonsense posts. His info on the Russian bersions and patches is pretty much failsafe. I don't think JBeckman gave a run down on the multi5. The multi5 has confusing conflicting and downright wrong 'recipes' by others across this thread.
There is a well known web site specialising in bits and piece of things needed for copies of games for the whole world.
The files and instructions they give for the Multi5 or [EFIGS] version are clear concise and work.

Patch 1.5.004 fixes a bug with that as well, it's now possible to kill the gunner if you can get to him.

I click continue to new area and it jsut drops me back in the same place.

this happen with the euro/usa multi5 version cause it's not properly cracked

Russian version freshly installed+retail version Russian patch #any-3 and any-4 + English db localization file (renamed to xrussian) + the file you need on gcworld = fully working game in english on both XPSP3 and Vista64 SP1 with NO SF drivers installed.
I own both the Euro multi5 and the RussianCE I got through ebay and the Russian version +englishdb file works far better than the euro version with the same patches applied to both.
There are still a lot of issues with bugs but as far as I've experienced, the Russian version does not have "Game breaking" faults that seem to be present in the euro version.
Also I have found that the game works better on XP IMO without DX10 effects of course.
Come to Australia- 1 of the most over governed places on the planet.

This is it.
I also think that this last crack ( the trivium one ) completely bypasses the starforce protection; in the previous versions of the game the starforce driver would pop up in the game's first run. That stopped happening with this crack.
Also, I don't think you need to rename the xenglish.db file; I copied it without changing anything and moved the original xrussian.db out of the folder and the game is running without a problem ( text and dialogs are english ).

hippy12 is right and BAP1922, because the game is so finicky, I would start a fresh.
If you uninstall and reinstall clean your registry of any "Stalker and GSC" entries before you do a reinstall and patch etc. I've also been told that some people are having issues with CS when Stalker SOC is also installed.I can't verify that from a personal experience though.

That may be so, however personally I have completed this game in the Russian flavour twice in different levels of difficulty with very little trouble compared to the EuroM5 version that I also own and because of that I suggest from my own personal experience precisely what I did to assist others if they are having trouble.

directory on the disc.
5. Copy the cracked content over from the Crack directory on the disc to
bin in your installation directory.
6. Play the game and stay tuned for the next update.
