was playing for 8 hours straight today and finally beat it, bah too long

Had some fun with npc_create today... It's fun setting up diffferent scenarios and watching them play out.

First get the console working, add to your shortcut: -console
Then get to the main menu and load a map of choice, on that one I chose coast. So do like: map d2_coast_01
when the map starts open your console and type:
notarget (this makes enemies not see you)
noclip (to fly around)
then find a spot on the map where you want to start some battles.
open console again and type: ai_disable 1 (this pauses the world pretty much so u can set it up)
point your crosshair somewhere around you and use commands like:
npc_create_equipment weapon_ar2; wait; npc_create npc_combine_s (this will spawn a combine soldier with the AR2 weapon).
It's easier to bind these to a key, I bound my combine spawn to n, so you would type: bind "n" "npc_create_equipment weapon_ar2; wait; npc_create npc_combine_s"
Then you can toss some zombies in with: npc_create npc_zombie (spawns a zombie where your crosshair is).
Then once you set up your scene, enable ai again: disable_ai 0
Close console to get back to the game and witness the battle. 
You can spawn a lot of people. Here's a short list:
npc_alyx
npc_antlion
npc_antlionguard
npc_barney
npc_citizen
npc_combine_s
npc_vortigaunt (really cool, they shoot lightning everywhere and slaughter stuff)
npc_ zombie
Some people claim you can spawn things with the give command, like: give strider, but I have never got that to work.
