Copied paul.dll too doesn't work here. clicking on icon or exe and it doesn't do anything. I'm giving up hope...

which version? i have the chinese version. i installed, copied the paul.dll and started the game. didnt try using any other cracks previously either.

And that's probably why it doesn't work for you. Get multi2 english/chinese clone, works 100% with that.

Black screen at the start of the game during conversation when flying transporter is shot down is normal?

You must be joking. It's a damn big lie with all this 'performance improvement' crap. The game runs just like Crysis if not for the worse at some points. The only B I G thing is now I can turn on DX10 settings on DX9 (woooho, bravo Crytek, good job in UNcovering the truth  , we could do the same only a day after DEMO was released ) which obviously is ridiculous and cancels all needs for DX10 o.O.
Putting aside the fact that it's shuttering (not as much in further levels as in the first one) like hell I'm supposed to play the same gime for the second time. Not to mention that I didn't die even once during my 1.5h of gameplay playing on HARD (for who? I mean, my 16-year-old sis would be able to finish the game >.< ) and saw miracles like machine turret bullets hitting me as I was covering BEHIND a damn rock. Great. ~.~.
So no, it's not smooth, it's not great. Again, it's barely average.

I'm playing on Delta using stealth mostly. Died like 3 times. I'll play it till aliens then uninstall like the normal Crysis.

The only optimization i noticed ist that the hit to the performance from explosions went down i think... other than that it seems to run worse.
And My mainstream settings are horrible looking, everythings moves, from enemy to static mountains...

@ qrdel_daywalker: i'm not totaly agree : this opus is better than the first one .
And with my spec , run a bit better . There are many more ennemy and less fps drop .
I will post video soon but its long to upload it..

Well, Im running on 2.5Ghz quad core, 4GB ram and an 8800GT 250mb and it runs smooth as butter on mainstream settings.
Im pleasently surprised. I couldnt even play the last one with the same system.
So this, combined with Stalker and Alone in the Dark....got my weekend planned out. Gunna stay in and do some mad gaming

Heh, I believe 8800GT was designed for gamer(high) settings in Crysis so I'm even more surprised to see it shuttering at random places and when quickly turning around. Anyways, what drivers do you run this Crysis W on ? I use 175.19, so far no crashes in ANY game, just wonder if this is the case why the game shutters here and there.

go start->run-> type dxdiag, enter. Go to third page (display),to the left is your monitor and GPU name and mem you have installed, to the right you have your drivers version.

think it was 177.79 that gave me another 200 points in 3Dmark06.. anything after should give the same results. plus 177.92 adds Nvidia PhysX

cant be bothered man
all I know is it works fine and Im happy with it. I didnt think it would work at all. But the graphics are nice, framerate is good, no slow downs/lag etc |
