So for the past couple week's I've had my main rig off and just been using my laptop which is an IBM/Lenovo, I've grown very attached to it's keyboard, it's flawless. I was curious if they made that same kind of laptop for PC's, or any other brand.

Anyone use the Razer Tarantula or Razer Lycosa

I use an hiper keyboard with that "notepad key stroke feeling" at work, nothing fancy but more than decent once used to it:

well, it's not just a notebook keyboard feel, lenovo's feel is very unique and is the only reason I got a notebook. I've always wanted one but could never stand the feel of the keyboards.

I can't tell what is this Lenovo's very unique feeling mate, I guess you will have to test the relevant keyboards firsthand. Smile

I've used one of these and I loved it.. personally I found it too small though. I really like my M$ wireless entertainment keyboard 7000 but from what I know it only comes as a bundle and the mouse (as much as I used to love it) is about as useful as a lump of shit.. They're all prone to breaking after a month or so of use. Keyboard is still going strong though, never needed to change the battery or anything, fantastic stuff! (the F keys take getting used too though.. still not used to them myself!)

My next keyboard will be Logitech Wave. I was thinking of getting a G15/G25, but at the end of the day, they are just too overpriced, and aren't that comfortable. I saw Wave in action and was very impressed.

+1 recently bought it (to replace my Microsoft Ergonomic 4000, which apparently didnt had the ability to manage more than 3 keystrokes) anywho its very nice and works incredible both at typing & gaming.

I do like my LED on the G15, especially when using teamspeak and eve at the same time - it helps to be able to see who's talking and see if it's someone you can mouth off to or not Smile

Also theres a ton of different useful applications for a keyboard led, like seeing utilization of system resources when gaming or temperatures, fps, fraps stats so as to not clutter your screen. Theres a whole community out there writing scripts for the G15 LED.

+1, got my Wave almost a year ago, never had any troubles at all, and the fact that I have media functions on the keyboard help out alot instead of having to alt+tab out a game just to pause it to watch a cut scene or to shout at someone, etc, I was considering a G15 but the LCD screen, I just didn't really have any use for it and the G11 isn't being sold anymore, accidentally told my friend to get the last one instead of nabbing it myself, but oh well, the media functions was all I would use.

Anyone ever tried the Revoltec Fightboard advanced?

I kinda dig the style plus it's just ~20€ too.

Edit: ah and about the Wave, how's that wrist rest? Any help at all, what kind of texture etc?

Haha, true. I like Logitech's elegant design, but the newer MS keyboards design are quite fine too...

Apple, hands down, has the worst! Wink

Actually, Apple keyboard is a very slim and really has the "notebook key press feel" that other keyboards just claim to have Smile

But for my Desktop PC I wanted even smaller keyboard,

Unfortunately, Apple compact keyboards are bluetooth only Sad Crying or Very sad

So, I ended buying Logitech Ultra Flat

It is 40cm wide vs 43cm Apple's full size keyboard - good Smile, but "notebook key press feel" is not as good as on Apple's one Sad

But I can say this in the defence of the G15. The screen does help me loads when gaming, as to how?. I have all my temp info and stuff on there from Everest, not that is important if you OC .

Why? Dongles cost 5$, plus Logitech provides you with one too.

I'll back anyones opinion up that apples keyboards are fucking awesome. MY GF bought one for like 50 bucks at compUSA when they were still fucking people in the ass. All alunimum, well thought out, quiet as hell, looked really sleek, but...didn't like the feel of the keys, to bloody flat.

Anywho, most of those above don't really look like the low profile type.
