So what is it about Crysis Warhead and Stalker Clear Sky?
I got a -in my opinion- pretty well specced system and the framerates just suck donkey balls! Lets begin with my system specs:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 3.40 Ghz
2 GB OCZ ReaperX DDR3 @ 1600 Mhz ( 7-6-6-18 )
8800 GT 512 MB non-oc'ed
I play both games at 1280*1024 because thats as high as my screen goes, and EVEN with this -for modern standards- mediocre resolution, I get 9-15 FPS with an average of 12 or so. This is with all the settings maxed out.
Is it just me or are these games unoptimized as fuck? Would you guys also expect at least double that framerate with my system specs? What the hell am I doing wrong? I've been tweaking with the settings of both games for the past few hours and most of the downgrades won't even provide 1 FPS gain. Only a decrease in resolution ( 1024*768 ) provides a significant gain in FPS (between 25-30).
