Just found out about this mod that works with several older games and since the search function didn't bring anything up I thought I'd share some info about it here. It's called ENBSeries (homepage). It adds support for effects such as bloom, real time reflections etc. It's fantastic, I'm currently using it with GTA SA and I have to say it looks more like GTA4 than GTASA now. But don't take my word for it, see for yourself.

GTA: SA

It works with other games too, such as:

Resident Evil 4

There are more supported games, take a look at the website.

Ahahaha, but isn't that what "next gen" graphics are all about anyway? Look at U3 engine. I'm not sure it even has real HDR anymore, because almost all games only use the fake bloom to light the entire scene to shit.

I was playing around with this a few weeks ago. On the site, he says that it works with Guilty Gear (X2 or Isuka, I'm assuming). I have no idea how that would look.

You can customize it, infact the author recommends that you go trough the various configuration files yourself to set everything up like you want to, fully explained in the readme but it takes a while to set everything to work like you want it.

Had it working pretty well for Morrowind and currently use it for RE4, bit too dark in that game though but other than than that I like it a lot.

Here's some examples on how Morrowind can look.

(Have to try it with the Gothic serie sometime, should work pretty well.)

EDIT: RE4

Thanks for the preset, but the distance is still blurry. Probably the Depth of Field settings.

there are some customization packs for morrowind for the textures and models. If you use those together with this engine-enhancement you should get decent results. Google should help you there (have seen some vids at youtube where they had links to the mods, so you might want to start there perhaps... ...havent tried it myself though, so i cant really say)
