Stalker Clear Sky took 9th place NPD weekly chart. People are buying this game even though it's buggy as hell. Well it is a good game. They could have made it so much better.

I hope their next project is going to be something exceptional now that they have hefty sums of money.

Just finished SOC and i loved, but i have a ''problem'' in SOC and Clear Sky with the performance. I only can play in DX8.0 (STATIC LIGHTING) with everything is in MAX but when i put on DX9.0 i only have 20/25FPS with everything in FULL or LOW. Its the same with SOC and Clear Sky
My pc -> INTEL E7200 @ 3705MHZ, 4GB RAM TEAM SKILL, ATi 1950PR0!
Its the GPU? ffs Neutral
Any solution?

Please don't post direct links to cracks or similar as per the forums rules. Smile

Also a ATI 1950 should be able to handle some parts of the DX9 mode, at least "Object Dynamic Lighting" as it's less demanding than "Full Dynamic Lighting" though it doesn't have all those shadow and lighting effects but it'll look better than DX8/Static Lighting.
(Don't try Enhanced Lighting as it'll most likely be too demanding.)

ty for the help beckman, but something is really wrong with this. If i put in ''Object Dynamic Lighting"with everything in HIGH i have 23/30FPS and its the same if i put all in LOW.
damn any solution? i wanna play with ''Object Dynamic Lighting"!!

same was by me, but then i put all settings on max and i have now 40-55fps
(this was with 1.5.04 version)

where is a proper scene RELOADED crack for EFIGS patch 1.5.05? i have checked file of the 1.5.05 crack on GCW for the russian version and have the same size of the 1.5.04 RLD crack. so must mean that the 1.5.05 patch work with the crack of the 1.5.04. play strange

the "working ?" 1.5.05 crack is the same of the RLD 1.5.04 one. i have checked the dimension of 3 files is the same. some idiot guy have just replaced the same RLD crack. it start the game anyway with the patch 1.5.05 but is not a proper crack

I have a 1950Pro. I play with full dinamic lightning, 1280X1024, 30-50 FPS.
It works without any problems.

Works for me and solved my CTD's in the Garbage which happened with the 1.5.04.

Like I said, play with this one or wait for the proper.
Or buy the game.

I've no idea what the code in the .EXE and .DLL files do but I know it's pretty important and controls several variables that aren't touched by the files in the .DB files.

That said most engine related bugfixes were in 1.5.003 so 1.5.005 working just fine with a supposed 1.5.004 crack isn't that unbelievable.

And yes 1.5.004 NoCD is the same file as 1.5.005 NoCD. Smile



(Feel free to use the same program and compare yourself and I also compared the two .DLL files which also showed to be identical, unsure about that new net related .DLL file though and I used the fix available from gamecopyworld.)

EDIT: And here's a quick archive containing most of the files between 1.5.004 and 1.5.005 for those who wish to compare and see what's actually changed.
(Files with a (2) ending are from 1.5.004 and files lacking a similar (2) file are new in 1.5.005)

I'm a idiot then, so that's what it actually meant, haha never thought such a utility was inbuilt in the OS as I thought Elite=Elite Speech or "1337 speak".
(My little sister got hooked with Counter Strike 1.6 when her previous boyfriend played it so she frequently uses it, albeit she sucks at the game but it did make her meet her current boyfriend, pretty stupid when one thinks about it.)

Haha guess I'm still pretty green (Noob) at various things.
(So I guess the above is the command linne prompt commands to compare two different files with one another then.)

i don't have yet try if also the 1.5.03 RLD crack work for the 1.5.05 it should anyway RLD cracks files 1.5.03 and 1.5.04 have sizes differents but the 1.5.05 of GCW is the same of the 1.5.04 so it conteins the RLD old files. so we don't know if in this way all new bugs will be removed using this crack with old files. maybe yes maybe no. stalker 1 haved got for every patch a proper crack

fc was most useful in the good old days, when there were no memory editors. i only used that shit to compare save files, that and some hex editor for changing the values after finding the locations..

the 1.5.04 crack works with the 1.5.05 and the GCW "?" crack is the same. it show properly 1.5.05 at the botton of the screen. anyway the problem is that maybe using an old executable .exe with olds .dll not all bugs will be then removed. anyway better of nothing waiting for a RLD crack

1.5.000 to 1.5.001 (First patch, already built into most European editions) - New game required.

1.5.001 to 1.5.003 (Second patch, launch day patch for both RU and EU versions.) - New game required.

1.5.003 to 1.5.004 (Third patch, tweaks, optimizes and fixes many remaining issues.) - New game required.

1.5.004 to 1.5.005 (Fourth patch, further balance and bug fixing.) - Compatible with older saves.


Why? because there's a file called All.spawn in the games packed data archives that was updated quite frequently in the early patches as it's related to item placement and such (Object placement on the various maps, unsure about NPC's and mutants.) and changing this file renders older saves incompatible due to how the savegame system and game engine works. (Probably.)

Certain script files and config files also require a new game to fully take effect but so far I only know of the ALife.ltx file that causes this and it doesn't crash or bug current saves when altered but the changes won't fully take effect. (Mostly related to tweaking timescale unless you do advanced editing to the files.)

So in short 1.5.004 saves should work fine with 1.5.005 saves but do note that not all crash related bugs have been fixed so certain games that have already progressed up to a point might still get crashes related to this.
(Hard to say what causes a specific crash actually as there's a lot that can go wrong while playing, game seems pretty sensitive actually.)
