so what game does it come close to...I am sorry for my ignorance but I have a general lack of interest and patience for any game that has RPG in the Genre column. I still waste DLs on RPGs merely based on the hype from you guys, only to throw it away after the first 10 mins...so question stands!!!

You will throw this one away in 10mins as well, i dont have a lot of patience as well and try'd fallout 3, its a slow paced RPG with FPS elements so i am gonna wait till dead space cause this just isnt my thing.

Just gave it a spin, it's nice with weapon repairs and all that, and the G.O.A.T. test made me a Pip-Boy programmer which is funny since I am actually studying computer science. I'll still stop playing it on the xbox now, I just can't handle FPS shooters with a controller, will wait for the PC version.
The atmosphere of Fallout is still definately there even though gameplay feels oblivionesque. But we all saw this coming, and Oblivion was by no means bad.

I don't know guys... initial impression of the game is that it seems pretty terrible... 
And making comments about people meeting Fallout for the "first time" is total bullshit, this game is as far from the original Fallout formula as you get.

Especially funny was his "5 confusing inventory, and full of shit=(rat meat and empty cans wtf?)". If you don't want junk in your inventory, then don't pick it up in the first place. And go back to Halo or GoW where you can shoot everything that moves and no NPC hates you for it.

I hated Oblivion. I used to get get jumped by wolves and then my horse would run away and then Id be left stranded in the middle of a dangerous forest armed with nothing but a little sword. Not exactly my idea of a good time.

Ok, the game doesn´t get you in early at least.
It sure feels very different environmentally speaking. but the gameplay is similar to oblivion apart from the attacking system.
But in a first impact, is a little weak, but I´ll have to give it some more time.

Im at the old purity lab or whatever its called, searching for my father. He`s not there of course but now im stuck. The quest marker tells me where to go. I go there and there`s nothing to do. i killed every monster and the few buttons there are to press in the lab arent doing anyting. Anyone been here yet? the place right after you visit the doctor in rivet city. |
