he's an interesting character. Played him 'till lvl 13..
He can wield only one handed weapons and no shield because of his cybernetic arm.
when attacking from afar he's using the ranged arm attack, in close engaging by melee

he has some very very long ranged attacks like archimedes beam- quite damaging as well..with it i could kill mobs screens away without them registering me as a threat

unfortunately has some crappy ones, like the flamethrower- which has a nice animation.. but nothing more. I hate the Anubis head and there are some egyptian like armor pieces..

I prefer the Dryad tho..

edit: if you are talking about the paul.dll that's been out for some time... it doesn't work Wink

How can WoW influence your opinion about Sacred 2? One is an mmo, the other is an action-rpg / hack-n-slash Smile

So I noticed the Elite texture pack caused a few issues such as missing objects and crashes.

Checked the graphics*.zip files and compared the MQ directory (Standard/Medium quality textures.) with the HQ directory (Elite/High quality textures.) and found that the MQ texture folders contained a bit over 6000 files more than the HQ folder so there's no wonder it crashes or why certain objects are invisible with that pack enabled.
(Also compared it with the patched gamedata11 and gamedata10 archives and there's 14 or so files missing there.)

Making a quick patch by taking the MQ textures but due to the filesize (Over a gig.) it's not something I could easily redistribute.

Best bet is to unpack the Graphics archives for the detail level you want and do your own fix if you use Elite quality textures.
(Unpack the Elite textures in a temporary folder, should get a HQ folder then unpack the graphics files related to the texture set you want to use as a patch - I recommend the standard/medium quality ones ofcourse - and extract them as well, should now have both a MQ and a HQ folder, now just copy the MQ files into the HQ folder and choose "No to all" when asked to overwrite any files and copy the fixed HQ folder into the /GameInstallDirectory/PAK folder. - If you have Vista or any other program to easily compare files and such it might be a good idea to only take the textures that differ in order to save on disc space.)

EDIT: The majority of files that are missing have the extension _sg.dds, a bit unsure about what their purpose is. (_n being the normal map and _d being the actual texture or diffiuse map)

EDIT: While the bridge in the first town isn't invisible anymore the game still crashes when using the "elite" textures, certain NPC's are also somewhat invisible but it's better than before.

Its ok here to have a pirated copy. No need to tell stories. We all feel your pain.

To answer your reply. Why do yo think someone cares about your bad shopping experience on a pirate board? Pirates are pirates to NOT fuck around with DRM shit so keep your "buying wrong key" stories at publishers forums.

Some regions or rather countries have started selling the English retail copy but the actual release date for the US and UK editions is November 11th.
(Possible in order to bring it closer to the console version release date.)

It's available in Africa, Asia and a few Scandinavian countries as well.
(Some even ship worldwide if you intend to buy it but it does cost a bit extra.)

In anyway with a working crack now available it shouldn't be too hard to just upload the proper English version, only downside is the size. Smile
(12 GB isn't much for hi-speed ADSL2+ or fiber connections but if it's a open P2P "homemade" release speed will definitively be a issue.)

(Wonder when the next patch is planned to be released, some minor issues still remain even if you disregard the current connection issues for MP and that Elite texture pack crash problem.)
