Meh, I've seen more people having problems with Radeons of all kind, but that may just be me.

I remember the first day I got 9600 I think, I had to switch drivers to play different games. o_O Good old times, I switched to GeForces since then.

this game constantly crashes in fullscreen with a gtx 280, but in windowed mode (same resolution / aa / af) it's stable... anyone else had this bullshit? :/

i just finished the game on 'veteran' difficulty. i love how body parts fly when you shoot at just the right place. the cutscenes are tiresome. it happens way too often. the constant flashback is a pain but made worse when you have to re-play through the level again.

it's 2008 and they still make ww2 games. by far the best looking stage is 'black friday.' especially if you have dx10. the water effects are gorgeous to behold. overall, not a bad game. i wished dev in general would stop making ww2 game...enough already.

Hackkow - there are just as many present or future fps games. It's just that the ww2 games seem to be more hyped (or hated).

I can't get enough of ww2 games - so imo keep em comming! (if you dont like them, just don't play them. Thats what I do with racing and sports game).

Fun so far. I'm not bored of WW2 yet as the last one I played was the original Brothers In Arms, which I found to be fantastic.

The market might be saturated with WW2 games, but it doesn't mean you have to play them all.

As for BIA:HH: so far I'm having fun with suppressing, flanking and grenading people. Not too far in yet, I think, but so it's been good. Especially amused with the "tell them about the jeep" cut scene. First game to make me laugh out loud in a long time.

Can't force myself to play it. Works above 40fps here but the game feels jittery.

ATI is cheaper for a reason.

Lulz, works 50+ at 1920x1200 on my 4870x2. Yeah, they are cheaper for a reason, so I can get better performance at lower price. Rolling Eyes

It was the same shit he said when mercs 2 was released, and he ended up with the exact same 'bugs' plus some extras iirc.

This game is really detailed, the tank mission in Eindhoven, you drive past the Philips building. my dad worked their and he said it was almost simular to the real old philips building. even the candyshop across is is accacly the same.
Im not in veghel yet, but the market is completly the same as wenn it was than.

Graphics aren't bad, i just dont like the unreal engine 3. game should be brought out 1 year earlier.

running smooth on an ati 4850, it's just the black friday level where things got messy...no performance drop - but crashes, text disappearing and serious shader/texture artifacts on certain objects. the rain fx indeed look beautiful, but at the same time they seem to bring up problems.

@trucane: the flashback cutscenes make more sense the farther you get in the game

Same with me. I'm with 4870 + 8.10 drivers from sept. 23 which are going to be WHQLed in a couple of days and same story.
If the devs don't rls a patch soon, this game's going straight to the recycle bin... And i won't regret a thing cos it's kinda boring and the gameplay is . . . monotonous to me...

Known bug with ATI cards, being worked on and might be fixed in a patch or perhaps Catalyst 8.11 (8.10 final were leaked recently and it's not fixed there, no surprise really as it's a very recent bug.)

Played trough it anyway despite visual glitches, restarted the game after each checkpoint also helped but no matter what there were still visual oddities at the end cutscene so I only heard what happened in it, restarted the game again and started on the next level and managed to complete it without further problems. Smile
(Good game but I already uninstalled it, might be fun for people to unlock everything though perhaps that's what the Killroys are for together with gathering all recon reports and finishing all levels on "Authentic" difficulty.)

for me it's gping into the recycle bin anyway in a few hours as i'm near the end...it was a fun ride while it lasted and i simply liked the fact that they showed war from its ugly side, but when you take away the ww2 sugar coating, it's just a stripped down version of r6 vegas - and that doesn't really work in the long run.

Also tried to do that but at some point the screen goes black and can't see a thing.
At least is the rainy level at the end of the game?

For those with older cards, someone in the forum said the 8.4 drivers fixed the issue for him.

did the same thing as jbeckman...playing without text/objectives and messed up gfx is no fun, but the level doesn't last that long anyway. and yeah, it's quite at the end.

@streetunder: if you need a save game, just holla

I got a A64 3500+, 2Gig Ram and a ATI x1950GT 512 MB...

The game runs completely smooth on 1280x1024 MAX Details...

Currently I am in the Black Friday mission (the one with the rain). Still runs great...

I got the newest ATI Drivers downloaded yesterday...

MGS4 was the best game ive played in years

on topic

the new BIA is excellent. Havent enjoyed a game this much since MGS4 and GTA4. The graphics are exellent (mine are set to high and the game runs as smooth as butter), the story is good, gameplay is good. Aside from a few minor glitches, its excellent.

And I think this is the best BIA. Beats RT30 (except for the ending of 30) imo.

Wow the PC version is SO much better than the 360 version. Game runs very well at 1680x1050 max, if I force AA on it slows to about 30fps though. (q6600/8800gtx/2gb)
