You sound like a Canadian group that did the Superman song. ...Superman never made any money but ... Can't remember their name but they are good.

You can't sing but you have a great voice Smile You did the voice for Duke Nukem if I my memory is correct. I didn't remember you name just the voice from that other thread where people posted their voices. I sound like a chipmonk, or someone who grew up in a hellium ballon as waldo would say.

I personally am way to nervous to ever to karaoke, altho my voice is so-so. ( which means true shit) Karaoke is cool as long as someone else is doing it.

Nice work mate, and you just gave me an idea to use this song for a girl I like, she's called Cindy, so the name's very similar:) You've got a nice soothing voice, can you plz send me the karaoke version so I can sing over it? Send it through PM via rapidshare or something,

thnx,

PC

PS : How do I know when to sing the lyrics if I just have the song, is there some kind of special program I need?

i m only good at karaoke, when i really know and love the songs. Since 99'% of the standard material at karaoke bars or in games like singstar are crappy pop-songs i dislike OR are absolutely not in my tonal range, i usually suck. Sabbaths paranoid or the motörhead-song on Singstar i m actually pretty decent at in comparision.

here are two songs of my new project, where i actually sing, if you re interested how i sound when i try to sing:

IMHO, very good vocal Have you been inspired by early Anathema by any chance ? Oh, the second song, music wise I liked it more. I think you should try making funeral doom with ambient influences, you have talent for that Smile

well, i wasnt inspired by anything really when writing those. I usually try to make something unique i havent heard before and when i do rip off something intentionally, i dont mind telling people. But yes i also love early anathema or bands like my dying bride, katatonia and doom in general, so seeing some early anathema in it is a huge compliment for me =)

Nooow.

I googled. Crash Test Dummies

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superman's_Song
Quote:

Song meaning

The song is a slow and mournful funeral dirge, mournfully telling the story of Clark Kent/Superman, as if he had recently died. Throughout the song, Brad Roberts contrasts Superman and Tarzan, whom he considers a crude, rogue, and uncivilized hero.
The song's meaning is summed up in the chorus:

Superman never made any money
For saving the world from Solomon Grundy
And sometimes I despair the world will never see
Another man like him

Great song. I used to sing it when I was like 19 or so. There was a small group of us and we would get together every weekend and play. 3 guitar's and 1 base.

@cheese
You should learn that song and sing it to your new girl.

i only listened to the first song (watching hockey atm ya know) but i think its pretty good. its like...i dunno what its like. its mellow but...scary...well, not scary, but disturbing in a way. excellent stuff
you have a cd or anything? ever do any preformances? cause ive seen a ton of completely shit bands booked at clubs and your stuff is pretty good (the music is very....cerebral...i think thats a fitting word). i think you could get a booking if you tried.

btw, i hope you dont play your songs for your patients bro Laughing Wink

your voice is ok nothing ultra special but u need some pro training in singing, just karaoke won't cut it, that is if u intend to do something more than karaoke, otherwise it's fine where it is atm for karaoke of course

Not offensive at ALL. The voice is just not audible. The voice part need to be stronger. That is the weakness to your song.

your troll-fu has seen better times, dazz Laughing

and your grammar too.

i know that my music doesnt appeal to "the" majority of people and i actually want it that way. If you had liked it, that would have been much more awkward for everybody involved, believe me, hahahahaah

Dude, you have such a great voice but you never had singing lessons or practiced the art of singing yourself. If you were younger you could of had the world with your voice, it is that good.

sorry syco, totally forgot to answer that one. The songs are for my project band i m doing at the moment wit a friend of mine. And we have material for a full cd at the moment. There is still some stuff to be recorded, but when its finished, we ll release it for free online (and will be looking for a label, if any is interested). Then we ll be looking for musicians, so we can also play it live in the near future, if all works out.

oh man, I could bring ya some hotties Smile

I have like 4 female friends who are fuckin smokin hot. Like model hot (just not flat chested and boney). Personally, I dunno why they dont model. Instead they are interior decorators. lol all of em. they own a small business. One of em is 34 and I swear, she looks 21. Of the few female friends Ive slept with, she was the fuckin best. a wild stallion (well mare) in bed. She knows she's hot and fuck can she seduce you...and she's not one of those hotties that is a snobby bitch. She's a cool as woman.
I'd date her, but she's not my type (besides physically). She's into nothing but fashion, home decorating, hair and make up etc
I want a hottie who will watch Stargate with me ya know Smile

Thats why next year Im going to the Science Fiction covention in Toronto. Tons of hotties there who are into nothing but horror and sci fi.
And from the docu i watched of it, they were all asked the question "Is it tough to meet guys? I suspect it wouldnt be because of the way you look". And enough answered "Its not hard to meet men, its hard to meet good looking guys who will watch Star trek with me"....sadly the convention was over when the docu ended (it was on a sex related show, not as in porno, but like they cover tons of stuff) or i would have been there the next fuckin day Very Happy
