Dunno if you can enter there without the progession in the main quest (I couldn't at first).

so, NPC's and Enemies sleep? good.
what about your character? if you sleep outside are you in more danger to get attacked than when sleeping inside, like the older fallouts?

so where are towns with quests? Megaton is clear, at the start. Rivet City in bottom left but hard to get to, child town in west but no quests. Where else are people with quests?

Where are the pipe leaks in Megaton? I found only 2 of them. Can't find the third one anywhere.

Two are on the ground...the third is up top off a ledge, near Lucas's house I think...

Well I'm through the game now took me roughly 18h(save game actual time is more) to finsih it.
Overall I would say it's quite a good game. Is it a good fallout game? It comes close, though still feels too much like Oblivion imho.
Kind of a bummer is that there arn't many quests, it seems you get an achievement for every quest at the end of the quest line. So there are ~30 quest-lines+main quest.
Also walking around in the wasteland isn't really fun, maybe that's why I did concentrade more on the main quest.
Oh and it seems there is one vault boy bubble head for each skill and each attribute.

Has anybody found like those random radio stations or whatever?
I remember reading a preview of the game and it said that there was like old radio stations and other stuff scattered out of the world and then you could tune and kinda play "Hot or Cold" until you found the station and then there might be loot or people for you to find there.
However, I have explored for awhile, but the only radio stations I have are Galaxy News Radio and The Enclave Station.

Found one near the citadel (or whatever is the place where BoS hang out, they didn't let me in) seemed pretty short ranged and I just didn't bother with that station.

Could you elaborate more? Id like to check him out before I stop playing... Going to start over when retail hits shelves. Ive looked all over the Super Duper Mart parking lot but there is no body with a note. Can you give directions from the NukeCola machine out front to the body or just the directions to the ruins?
Or is it actually called the Super Drug Store? Ive been to Super Duper Mart, but not seen Super Drug Store...
*EDIT* From what Ive read the meeting of Dogmeat is supposed to take place fairly early on and the location and time of day may vary.

Ok, played it for maybe 2 hours in total. The combat isn't fun, if anything its annoying, especially the gun combat. The environment look pretty awesome and thats about it, the world feels pretty empty. Had more fun with Oblivion.......

one would reckon a post-nuclear-war world SHOULD feel pretty empty. that's a part of the game.
fallout 1 & 2 also gave you that feeling. you would stumble into towns but when you were exploring places and encountering bandits/mutants while travelling, the creepy feeling of an empty world was dominant.
comparing this to oblivion, with all due respect, is a terrible crime.
the fallout universe has nothing to do with the elder scrolls.
however, if it feels TOO empty (ala - towns are too empty) then that sucks very much.
