For Cthulhu fans:
Spoiler: | There's a Dunwich Building in the southwest corner of the map. Frigging creepy atmosphere, I love it. |

Don't you have any items that will boost your health ?. You won't be able to fast travel as there are enemies outside. My best guess is to turn right out of the museum and make a dash for it till there are no enemies around and then fast travel to the nearest bed.

As I was walking down a cold and lonely road, I suddenly picked up a beacon, I sought out it's origin and I found... that we're not alone.
Spoiler: |
Downed ufo "theta craft" on the way towards vault 92 from minefield. There is also the most powerful weapon in the game. |

For the blood ties sidequest you gotta go through the metro station (one of the 3 locations) and at the end of it there is a side tunnel to the Family |
i went through the metro station, but it's a dead end...only those 2 ghouls and 2 restrooms...no side tunnel...

edit: I'm not sure if it makes a difference but I'm not using a hard drive atm as I left it at a friend's place. |
It looks like it was the hard drive. Pop it out for some headbashingly long load times. |
so the hard drive considerably helped with the loading time problem?

I made the mistake of following the main quests first, and then doing the side quest whereby Spoiler: | you need to find some molerats for chapter 2 of the book being written in Metroid | . Now all the Molerats are dead so looking for new sources and well, its a slow process.
Out of interest, has anyone managed to find more than one bobblehead? I found the one at the start and since then, nothing.

More molerats in RobCo facilility (part of the main quest I think...) in the southwest right before Tenpenny Tower.
One bobblehead in Rivet City Science Lab...that's the only one I've found. I can't wait for a strategy guide or interactive map.

One bobble head is in Lucas Simms house. Another in the vault you start in, IIRC.

Hey guys, couple questions for you...
How smooth does it play? Chuggy as fuck like brothers in arms or great like force unleashed?
Think it's worth buying on 360 since there's no PC modding right out of the box?
Think I'll be able to sink 40 or so enjoyable hours in? (I put about 120 into oblivion)

Nope, I have no health items. And running right after exiting museum is not an option because as soon as I leave it, I get headshot.

Its not an advantage is it? Well, other than perhaps finacial depending on the perks you pick.
The reason I don't see this as an advantage is that don't the NPC's level according to you? So as you get better, they get harder?
Plus isn't leveling capped at level 20?

there is a bobble head in arefu. its in the leaders house. I forget his name. its the guy thats out there when you come up the bridge. you have to lockpick his door. I think it is easy level. I can remember where inside but its a pretty small place. it was sitting on a table. There is also one in the jefferson memorial. I think its down near where you find your dads notes but I cant remember exactly.
Ohh and for all of you looking for dogmeat... i found him at the scrapyard like someone else mentioned. The scrap yard is just south of minefield. If you dont have that marker on your map talk to the lady in megaton at the general store. I cant remember the name of it. Its the lady that is writing a survial guide. she asks you to go to a minefield to get a mine. So just go there and head south. The scrapyard is a pretty big place. He was there fighting some rebels. Help him kill them and then talk to him. He is really helpful he kills all the little stuff really fast so you dont have to worry about them anymore
BTW I am 15 hours in, I am level 10 and have been exploring quite a bit. There is a ton of stuff to do you just have to look around and explore

Since no one knows how the banning exactly works, its probably porn or a virus.
