|
 |
Fucking pricks. When I first started with usenet I went to usenetserver, was with them for almost a year, no problems. Then earlier this year everything went to shit, everything was constantly getting corrupted, couldn't get anything older than a week at one point.
I contact them and asked whats going on etc. Told me they had some bad issues with their servers, and since my account was pretty much unuseable I asked for a refund or extension of my service of which they denied telling me I'll just have to wait for everything to get uploaded again. Fucking bullshit.
Went to giganews for a few months. Now just a few mins I go back to usenetserver's page to see if anything changed and they got new farms etc. I don't want to pay for giganews if I don't have to. I get a hold of support again. I ask them if everything is still fucked up and a pain in the ass like before, what's he do? He fucking leaves the session on me. These people suck fucking dick at running a business.

Powerusenet.com
Most reliable shit in the world.
Retention may not be the best, but IDK. I hate giganews, and I've been with powerusenet for like 4 years now.

do they have the option of rewnewing when you want or is it an auto take money out of your account deal, cause giganews does that and it's bloody annoying.

well most have auto renew but is there the option of paying when you want. Like if your month is up the service is disabled to you click renew.

Remember a long ass time ago Spyke you refferred me to usenetserver. I had the same issues as you, horrible retention and just random corruption. I jumped around to a bunch of different providers and settled on giganews because I had the least number of issues with them.

BS on both counts. I find everything on RS, easily, and if it's not on the forums a quick google suffices. And I dunno what going Usenet prices are, but iirc rapidshare was lower.

I use Usenext. Does the job, cost about 10€ for 30Gb over 9 months.
I normally just use the 1 month deal (a tad more expensive) but then I can just change my limit from month to month.

I know I'm gonna sound like a "scene noob" but you have to admit that http and especially RS premium is the best way to get stuff, doesn't cost much or doesn't cost nothing at all

It depends on your provider Power Usenet is very reliable and Newzbin is good
for NZBs and Newzleech for binarie files.

Astraweb here.
160 days retention, very very few incompletes, unlimited bandwidth & SSL for about 12€/month. Half the price of Giganews and haven't seen an issue in years .
As for the "usenet sucks balls" shit, WTF is wrong with you mate?????

Lately usenet has been sucking a little ass for HDrips, been supplementing with a torrent site |
+1 for newshosting.
They have issues now and then but seem to be resolved quickly. I can normally cap my 10mb connection and don't have trouble with incomplete files unless the post is super old 120+ days.

Well I'm with giganews now and I would stay with them but I don't like having to constantly freeze my or cancel my account since they don't let me pay for 1 month only and re-subscribe when I want. Soemtimes it's not worth having it a month.

^^ yeah with super long retention and unlimited you don't really need continuous access if you want to save some $$$ by waiting to "accumulate" stuff to download.

I just go with unlimited - pretty sure you can still get away with sharing accounts as well. Just say, one ip is your home and the other is your work.
