Thank gawd game cracks exist because in 10years, all this software distro tech will have moved on, and all those games that relied on the net to activate and/or acquire new content will have long since died massively THUS its up the own user to secure great classic game memories via their own personal store. Current distro'ing of software is great for the here and now but NOT for the long run -- networks come and go but media evolves at a more tolerant stage. Like I said, thank gawd for cracks -- adds that bullet-proof "common sense" that we'll all need in many years time.

Quote: | But having the disc is more safer than downloading it via steam , u acc can get hacked and bbye games |
fucking the disc u have to rebuy the game to play again. this will ever happen with steam. games are on your own account to be downloaded for full everytime for ALWAYS. for this steam rocks. accounts can't be hacked cause Valve cyber cafè where they get all customers account's informations are high secure so no problem. only an idiot guy maddoxx haved tried to get access to it but then him is been captured

for example if u breack the game disc or scratch it then u can't play anymore. this don't happen with steam cause your games are into your account to be downloaded everytime. u have need the net naturally but this is not a problem. who don't have a connection at this time? also there aren't acc hacked problems anyway cause valve's servers are high secure. who haved tried to have access to cyber cafè is been captured so no problem to all

So left 4 dead is out for preorder on steam now. Now don't get me wrong but $50 on steam, a platform where you get no physical aspects (box, manual, etc etc etc) is ridiculous.
Considering the Orange box was 5 games and was $40. I think it's friggin cheeky.

Meh. Not the same really. Valve games run only via steam so the digital distribution VS DVD thing with their games is a moot point, since it's essentially the same thing.

well atleast you'll have something physical for your money to keep in your shelf , same price anyway so better get something you can hold out of it
besides DVD is good for LAN parties , unlike the digital one where you have to buy one for each computer , just install it on them from the same DVD instead and you don't need to be connected .....well unless they put some shitty online activation on it but I doubt it, TF2 DVD release didn't have it
besides installing is way faster than downloading with steam's shitty speed and the size of the game which I'm sure will be no less than 7-6 gigs I think the best choice is obvious

I thought if multiple people used the same account and game at the same time the account is definitely going to get closed

You cant log in at the same time online. But there is no limit on how many computer you can log in to and install the games you bought.

it's worth. the digital ver of this game will get many and many updates like every steam game moved from a source engine. so it will be better that a consolle version then

Would be hard to get publishers for the boxed version if you are gonna sell the game you're self allot cheaper.
