Can anyone explain for me how it comes that when ever I try to watch blueray/hd movies they stutter? Ive tried both vlc and wmp classic and still get the same problem.

It's not that ive got a bad computer, its pretty good imo...so what can the problem be?

shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

I hear lots of issues with HD movies in VLC. They all solved it by using KMplayer Smile

8 out of 10 dentists prefer zipfero to competing brands(fraich3 and Mutantius)!

zoomplayer mate, then add some cole2k advanced packs and the shit zoomplayer recommends you download, should play like a charm.

If your using CCCP codec pack

in mpc hit view > options > playback > output:

Directshow Video: VMR9(renderless)**
Realmedia Video: Directx 9
VMR Settings: Use texture surfaces and render video in 3D***
Resizer: Bilinear
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also if your using another codec like coreAVC like you should

Start > PRograms > Combined Community Codec Pack > filters ffdshow video decoder > look for H.264 and set it to disabled, this will use another better decoder.

Also if you don't have dual core or an nvidia card, it'll be that much harder. Dual cores rock when it comes to HD.

If you have a slower CPU don't try 1080p, it'll struggle like hell.

if you got an ATI card and use powerdvd ( latest ) then the video should help out with decoding blurays.... which allows for less powerful CPU.

If you play 1080p HDrips AMD 2.3ghz dual core is the bare minimum to use, better off to use 2.5ghz for some overhead.

install http://www.cccp-project.net/ as codec/player, uninstall everything else first .

I've got:
AMD Phenom 9750 Quad-Core 2.4GHz 4x1MB
6gb ddr2
GeCube Radeon HD 4850 512MB DDR3

surely that should be enough?

Im abit suprised on the suggestions on code packs..usually these kind of threads are full of warnings about them.

CCCP isn't some bloated pile of junk like that "kazaa pack" people fucking install. It only installs what needs to be installed. I know a lot of IT admins etc that use it cause it doesn't suck.

cccp is the best solution in performance/quality, yeah

except get coreavc and deactivate h.265 in cccp settings for the fastest hd playback
