Ok to clarify: You CAN play single player without the original (originial mean the game, not the bought version) Painkiller installed.
Just run "CDROM DRIVE"\Content\PK_BOOH.exe and it will install.
No crack/serial needed.
Didn't try multiplayer though....
Anyway,.. it is me or the game seem strange?? I ran the first one everythign maxed out, but this one if I check "character shadows" and set ultra to dynamic lightning (the two things who are not maxed out by default) it lagg soooooooo much... but it look nice without them anyway 
Anyone can explain me why there is always a kind of "campfire" following you on the left (move the mouse down/left very fast and you'll see it..) it's strange.
Plus... WTF IS THAT DIFFICULTY SHIT??? I selected insomnia (normal difficulty) and I can't get pass the first level... I played though the original no problem. The guys take like 10 shoot to kill,... I am now in the first level when you go down a little, stuck in a corridor, hte door open in front to me, I can't backstep, I have 100HP and I shoot all my shotgun ammos (tryed the cutter gun too) and I die, there is NOTHING I can do... any help?

Difficulty insomnia seems ok. First level, try shotgun alt fire, freeze monsters, then kill them. To get a Tarot card you need to come through this level without being hurt. That seems impossible though.
Game is very good.

Haha cool. Is the music any good? If not I will play some Metal when playing the game. It makes everything much easier hehe. I remember watching the last trailer and it showed a modified version of the stick gun which had like 3 sticks in one shot. Total killer!
hahe -> Why not nocd when you're asking a crack because It's much better.

You do not need an original Painkiller.
1) Open CONTENT folder on CD1
2) run PK_BOOH.EXE with -t parameter like
PK_BOOH.EXE -t Q:\Games\Painkiller
to install it into Q:\Games\Painkiller

I'm stuck at the theme park with all the clowns. I ran into the two pay booths after beating up all the clowns and the stairs come down showing a pit of spikes.
Can't figure out how to get across the pit. I've tried jumping and also going along the edge. |

In Poland, Painkiller BOOH costs something about 4,5 euro like first Painkiller. Polish version works without first game but then you'll don't have multiplayer. Installed with first unlock multi.
