man this afternoon i've picked up my copy of far cr2
went home and installed it,
now when i launch the game it freezes on the loading screen after that the background changed for the 3rd time.
Always when the background changes for the 3rd time my screen is stuck on loading.
I've set my priority of farcry2.exe to high but nothing.
I've closed some processes but still no loading...
Again the legit buyer is f*cked or what?
Anyony knows a work around for the loading screen?

it's something I can live with , the game is about the experience after all
here's my little review about it
trying to go stealth often fails and pretty much the only way to finish a mission is to kill everyone , AI spots you all the time whatever you do
also AI can be aggressive for no reason and has its bugs but it's pretty much all good
weapons jam and get old ridiculously easy and only after like 3 clips , the character can't run for shit ( 5 meters and he's tired )
but I can say that it's still a great game and has many good ideas in it
also for people who're still mindfucked about the size , it's a very optimized game , runs beautiful & smooth , yes it was properly done , something we don't see every day in fact something we haven't seen in years but it is so get over it and be thankful

Does anyone else notice the mouse feels kinda....crappy? Can't really describe it, but it just feels like the game doesn't pick up mouse movement very well..

I had no trouble silently kill everyone in first enemy camp in clear daylight. I crouched and used rocks and bushes. When i was close enough i shot couple of headshots. Done. They never knew what hit them.
And why on earth you use those rusty weapons from enemies. Of course they fucking jam. Use the new ones you buy from shops.
And the guy is supposed to be mercenary not some fucking long runner athletic.

Mouse is crappy.
Anyway, fps is great. It does dip around the 20-30 mark for a bit before going back to 50-60. It happens when going to a newer area and after sleeping. I guess it's loading some stuff.

If you have geforce don't use the latest beta driver, instead use 178.24. I had major slow down issues with beta and with 178.24 I can play it smooth @ 1680x1050 8xAF on ultra high (shadows high).

C'mon even I can sprint more than 100 meters before I get tired , in the game he gets tired after like 7 meters , not a problem
I guess it's because I'm sleepy right now , I'll get some rest and test it again with I'm up and running well

Under DX10 the game runs smoother for me.
Secondly a lot of these new members need to be banned or develop some intelligence. I haven't heard so much stupid shit in a long time.

anybody knows where is the archives of the subtitles? the damn game doesnt install more than one lenguage...

and check that a supported resolution is set in this line :

I'm very impressed with the optimization of the engine. A gorgeous game, even on my lowly 8800GT, and I'm getting 50-60 fps steadily with everything maxed out under DX10. I even have 2x AA on. The god rays are divine (pun intended) and doesn't affect frame rates in any way as far as I can tell.
Haven't played enough to rate the game itself, it seems like a fairly open world mission based game somewhere in the armpit of Africa.

Really dissapointed in this game. I get that console'ish feeling too much. Hit zones are crap :S

I had to reinitiate the computer. Worked like a charm.

I am at the beginning of the game, at medium difficulty but man those soldiers can take a punch like 5 bullets to the chest! I has to aim for the head now!

At first, i started the game and it stucks in the loading screen. Then i closed the program and power off the comp. After, i load the game and worked...
