Bought it on Steam. It's downloading now, will report back impresssions in a bit. I've never played bully and have only the vaguest idea of what the gameplay is like. So it will be a total newcomers perspective.

Well so far I think the game is pretty fucking terrible. I launch the game, get my settings how I want ( which is pretty much choose a video resolution, select AA and turn shadows on or off... thats it for video options) Doing it by keyboard because the menus have no mouse support. I am just happy it supports 1680x1050. Load up the game itself, small cutscene i am told to run into the head masters office, another small cutscene I go to leave, load screen for 10 minutes with no progress. So, so far I am not that impressed. I'll try it another go in a bit.
Well after trying again. Same thing happened. What a waste of 30 dollars that was. The game was only just now available on steam so their forums only have a handful of posts, mine was the third. So i'll wait and see if anyone else has the same problem and see what is going on.

Crap port? What a surprise lately for us PC gamers... They can't even make an old PS2 game work in PC (I know this one must be based on 360, still, long loads and such)

Alternatively this guy could have a hardware/software issue, and he's just being a drama queen about it. Pretty much every video game that has ever been made has failed to work on someone's PC.
Note also that he doesn't seem to be saying that there are long load screens, but rather that the game simply isn't making any progress on the load at all. This isn't really much to make assumptions on.

I'm sure it's just a bug that'll be fixed, or maybe it's like DMC4 where very few people experienced very slow loading.

Hope is not true for the sake of GTA4 port ! I want a perfect GTA4 port from Rockstar, no crashes no bugs. Sorry for offtopic.

The game loads the first cutscene fine, the one when you are outside the academy, you then go inside the academy, and have free roam at this point. This all working. Once you go into the headmasters office and have the cutscene you then go to another loading screen, and this is the one that never ends. Just cycles the same loading pictures over and over every few seconds, but it never getting back to the game.

Care to post some screens with maxed out gfx and possibly AA turned on? Does it run smooth (well besides that horrible bug)?

Maxed out? Theres pretty much no graphical options. You select resolution AA 2 4 or 8 and turn shadows on or off. Thats the entire video options.
Game runs smooth on my 8800 GTS, it does have a problem with pop in though. Half the level might not be there when you first load and then pop in a few seconds later. Which is kinda annoying.

Well thanks for nothing. Ammount of video settings options doesn't represent the quality of the game btw.
