The mods can't give custom tags. They can change them to a few standard ones.

I've heard that the learning curve on this game is a bit steep and the game can be frustrating ... Is it really that difficult?

it can be pain in the ass sometimes, plus i was very disapointed with delivery missions
u just have very limited time [ and i mean like 1-2 minutes that's on easy Rolling Eyes ] to get from point A to B and u must keep the car undamage completely [lame damage meter]

i liked delivery in TDU where u could take your time, all in all it's fun for a while then u will struggle to beat any races further in the game mainly coz oponnent cars are much faster and u can't get them coz they locked, to unlock them u need to beat those races
now how fucked up is that Embarassed

disapointed
it started good but got messy in the middle, if i'd purchased it i'd be mad for sure

still cruising at night can be pretty nice, something i missed in TDU

this MC same as previous one with better gfx and more frustration
AI even if they bang into something manage to catch up in no time, where u will be struggling to keep up
p.s. driving from cockpit view is better than with follow cam and u have 360 degree wheel turn, which is nice but useless coz it's fuckin arcade

of to play Dead Space Razz

The problem is about certain drives (like BenQ) not streaming textures and shit fast enough.

That's because some of the data is being stored on the cache. The more you play it, the more data will be stored.

As for the disk checking, I'm hoping it just checks to see if the disk is in the drive. Someone may come up wit a way to transfer the games directly from a downloaded image onto the hard drive and use a sort of mini image written to a cdr or single layer to put in the drive.
The price of Verbs is a piss take.

No its not the more u play it the more thats stored... the initial part of the game. (menu's, sound, and GFX) are stored that why if you play it again after leaving it you can skip the intro. You cant buffer the next level your on at all. You will only store the initial parts of the menu, generic sounds, and textures.

Some of the shit in this game is just ridculous.

I mean, some races are fucking hard, and i DO consider myself being above average at racing games. Crash once, spin out and say goodbye to the opposition! They smack into a traffic car, and barely lose speed. It's so funny, i won a car from some dude, and when looking at the stats, my car had better stats, all of them. Yet i had to retry the race twice because i couldn't catch up.. very funny. And then there's the special abilities.. I first used ROAR, the supposed sound wave that pushes your opponents away. Well, it didn't do much at all, they were barely nudged by it. So i tried EMP, wich disables all electronics. That was almost even more lame! I used it, and the opponent slowed down a LITTLE for about 3 seconds, then he was back to normal again.

All I'm saying is that the game is hard - but not because it's challenging in a good way, more like bad gameplay mechanics fucks it all up.

Another example - i bought a bike, raced, crashed into a car head on. Then, i respawn RIGHT INFRONT of the car i just crashed into! Like, my front wheel was touching the front of the car! What they fuck were they thinking? That wasn't just once, seems to be everytime you smash into something head-on.

And the delivery missions - come on! The very first one you get is just crazy.. How the hell are you supposed to get there in time, with minimal damage? Maybe, if you find the exact right route, with shortcuts. But since all you have is the dot for the finish, i have to retry 300 times before i can find that. So i said fuck it.

Then there's the joke of a physics/driving engine, the vacuum cleaner-sounding cars, the BenQ issue... If i'd bought this game i'd be really pissed and return it immediately.

You see, there's a difference between a game being hard because it's genuinely challenging, and at the same time giving you a fair chance to win, and a game that's just cheap in design.

Take Forza 2 for example, just to demonstrate - when you are driving at a high difficulty level, you're still playing at the same level as the opponents. They won't magically get faster cars, they wont have glued-to-the-road kind of handling, be able to crash and then magically catch up. If they crash, they are out, just as you are if you crash.

In MC:LA, i can take a car that IS FASTER, with all the stats being higher, and still the slower opponent car will catch up on the straights.

what he said Cool

altho i must say after getting evo it's easier to win races even if vehicles are in the same league
still i wish it had more to it than just old driving to drive from checkpoint to checkpoint

http://forum.teamxbox.com/showthread.php?t=598169

p.s. there is a glitch in the game, nothing big but still
when u do time trials make sure u come just one or two second away before the time u have to finish, for example official time is 03.00 u do it in 02.58
there was a challenge where i had to come in 4mins i came in 3.30 and next time challenge was 3.28 which is impossible coz i did my best first time, so there is no way i can finish that time challenge, i tried 10 times
