omg !!! i to uninstall DTP...to try a fresh install again... but it gives me a "setup is unable to validate installation" error now and i cant uninstall it :'(

Yes, sure, 4.30.0303 Pro. I carefully followed the instruction. No luck. It works for some people, for some it does not, while they follow the instruction in the same way. I believe it may not be called RELEASE therefore.

The Daemon Tools install:
Just to make sure I am doing this right.
After you install the trial version, it says:
"2.start from the soft menu IDE 7 vIDE drivers
3.stop the soft"
So, i just enable a virtual IDE drive correct?
And then i completely shut daemon tools down before continuing?
Not really concerned about getting X3 TTC because i plan on buying it. But i would like to get this Daemon Tools version working.
Since X3 apparently is dependent on it (this clone release), I figured I would ask the question here regarding the Daemon Tool release install.
Especially since some peopl in this thread apparently have it working. i am running Vista 64 btw if it matters.

any ideas how i can uninstall it from my system so i can do a clean install again of DTP please?
the normal uninstall or remove dont work... gives an error

Interesting, my clone suddenly stopped working again after exiting the game. Haven't changed a thing. Strange it should be so unstable.
And there I got it working again. Seems I have to actually open up the actual Daemon Tools window to get it to work, just having the agent active isn't enough.

when u install the EV for first time and it pops up that Daemon Tools Pro Activation ... do u enter a made up email or ur own genuine one ?

i enter a made up email... and it pops a small window up sayins "connection to server failed. Please check yoru internet connection and any firewall software you may have"
what do i do please?

I installed the new Daemon tools and the game worked with a single push of the button. Make sure you disable all SCSI drivers, enable all emulation options and it should work.

random stations mate.. they should have a big fuckin cartoonish like symbol right next to them telling u what kind of mission u can get onboard

Don't even need to dock, can just open Comm menu and talk to the person who has the symbol next to him.

Sigh, seems Egosoft managed to screw up this launch too. Game performance quickly degrades as you play. Within a couple of days of starting a new game you'll be down to like 50% of your original FPS.
