That's the thing I love the most about this game. Get in a Jeep and take that shit offroad. It's seriously cool. It just gets tedious having to stop the vehicle, shoot the bad guys, repair the jeep, get back in and drive off only to have to repeat the charade about seven hundred million times. At least let us do drive-by-shootings or something ffs.

I think this is a very good game, but this really could have been a great game - and it's not like we are asking too much; most of the serious problems are game balancing issues. Pah.

The only thing I think is missing from this game that could have made it truly epic are factions wars akin to STALKER: Clear Sky (Except not bugged up like clear sky).

There are two opposing factions in this game. Yet they aren't fighting eachother? It seems everyone is out to kill you. It really wouldn't have been that hard for them to implement some sort of system so that the two factions have random encounters at checkpoints, or are fighting in the town.

Of course, there will probably be an expansion for this game, and it's pretty safe to say this feature will probably be in the expansion.

Oke thx. Had that exploding also with my founded M1909 which I still use. Those jammes can be fixed and the gun is great. Still I am to gready to buy one, waiting for the Dragnov and the .50 cal

Hehe, the Draggy is awesome! I tossed down the stones for one asap, haven't touched my other sniper rifle since. It is rather unbalanced, as I can kill people with one shot, unscoped. It's pretty damn accurate without the scope, too. I only really use the scope when they're at least 3-4 jeep lengths away. Also, the assassination missions? TONS OF STONES MAN! 10 stones a kill! I'm about to go buy my camo suit! Hehehe.

No idea why really though, as everything you find out in the wild jams every other reload.

Yeah once you buy something it's available at every gun store warehouse. Not sure about safehouses, maybe there's an upgrade eventually that does that, but I've only got as far as ammo so far.

edit: speaking of things jamming. I had the barrel of one of the sniper weapons explode on me earlier. Can't say I was expecting that.

i just had an assault rifle shot out my hands and broken in half (well it looked like it broke in half leaving my hands) Smile

Probably the most immersion breaking thing about the game. The area is so expansive and well made, yet nothing ever seems to happen in it. I find people driving around, but it's like their sole intention is just to hunt me down with uncanny precision.

Hide as I might, if they're in a car they seem to have super vision.

STALKER CS, buggy as it is, at least has people fighting each other.

The problem right now, solved be everyone being an enemy, is that both factions look identical to me. They would need to wear different coloured hats or something or I would still have to just kill them all.

Well, the bus system is fairly good for avoiding most checkpoints, unless you're riding a Stryker or something like that and enemy fire can't stop you from driving on.

As for the large area and immersion, I agree. Also, there seems to be 15 fricken' gunmen for every civilian in the country! Are they all dead already? I guess the devs wouldn't have wanted civvies in the game to avoid criticism if the media discovered the player could go on a rampage massacring entire villages. But still, it's pretty strange as it is.

Africa or not, I want to see one normal women in the game that doesn't have a holster and speaks in a foreign accent.

I don't think I fully understand you.

HMV edition gives four new missions (+4 missions as I call it not 4+ missions.)

Gamestop edition gives six new mission (Thus +6 missions and not 6+ missiosn.)
(Unsure if this includes the HMV missions.)

Bit unsure where these start but there's a quest category called "special" in the "legend" tab of your journal/menu (ESC by default.)

Press Esc -> Statistics and look at Main missions done. Before the codes there was a total of 30 and after the codes there are 33. Thus +3 main missions added.
As you said I thought it must be +6 (for a total of 36) or +4 (for a total of 34). Why 33 ?
I hope I was clear enough. Smile

33 is normal. I don't think they added campaign missions, but side missions (40 by default)

Anyone noticed enemies scaling up? I swear I did not see a single enemy that carried a light machine gun before I purchased the RPG-7. Maybe it was just coincidence that they started appearing in the wild right after I bought one, but they definitely weren't appearing at the beginning of the game.

I also wish that buddies would just tell me what they want over the phone. It's obvious it's going to be a slight variation of the normal mission, but with the added bonus of having to go and stick a needle in their shoulder to save them afterwards. Please tell me over the phone.

Gave up after 3 hours. What a disappointment. Travel from A to B, killing X guards along the way on X checkpoints. Fifty square kilometers filled with useless enemies, repetitive side missions and 221 diamond briefcases.

first, you might want to consider that calling somebody names is frowned upon here at the nfohump.
Secondly, calling someone "n00b" for posting something on the SECOND PAGE of this thread seriously begs the question if you shouldnt take a step back from posting in here, as that was posted ages ago...

or do you get a strange sensation from being facepalmed by Leo? Laughing

Ok, so back to the game. I played it for about an hour or so and i m not sure if i really want to play more already. I loved the intro ride, but the way they took all the purpose from the game by letting you get stranded there and forced to be affiliated with one of the gangs without having a say in it, seems kinda stupid.

I mean, the game looks nice and plays fine and all, but making me bored after an hour of gameplay already is a new record for any game that is that good looking Shocked

Couldn't have said it better. I hope they use this engine again in the future though, it's a keeper.

This sucks, the AI is good despite what everyone says. Once during nighttime I was left with machette and had to sneak around, one of the fuckers spotted me and 4 of them surrounded me. Then they kept getting closer and closer sweeping the area till I was 1 meter away from each of them and gutted them all.

Ok I didn't, I died in split second.

Playing on infamous and the game is still too easy Sad I want stalkerish hard game.

And yeah, it sucks to have sniper rifles explode in your hands in the middle of a crossfire.

For how long have you played the game ? Since you can senselessly say that the AI is good.
Sure this game looks awesome and it has some very + points but there are 3 things that bring it down. The AI sucks it's repetitive as hell and the story is very amateur made.

When it comes to vehicles the AI sucks, yes. Same shit everytime but the rest of the time I think it's pretty good.. The way they'll advance on you while jumping from cover to cover, flanking and working together. Sometimes you can hear them discuss tactics, i.e a few of them will stay behind cover while others try to flush you out. I fail to see how its as shit as some people are making out.

True...its fun but hyped to heaven, which is why i find myself floating over to the BF1942 mod Desert Combat each evening after maximum 1 hour FC2 to have fun AND gameplay..and to kill shit that sure isn't repetitive.....well some of the people inthere should not be allowed in....
