A little insight about the protection, straight from Bethesda's forums:

Steam is not a good idea for anyone who wants the goods (mods) for this game, later, more complicated mods for Oblivion used a script editor or something, you needed to use that program to launch oblivion.exe, what I don't like about the steam it launches all games threw steam.exe because of their stupid protection, fubar if you ask me.

You can always crack the game if it gets to that point. |

You couldn't use mods with the Direct2Download version of Oblivion either. I had to crack it, ironically.

What Im worried about is the fact that there might not be enough "quests" to make replaying it as fun. I remember witht fallout 2, last time I played it trough I still managed to do quests i've never done before and I have like played trough it 3 times ( and played to the end another 3 times) yet it's always fun replaying it since you can make a totally different character and you can always skip out on the boring towns/quests because there is just so many quests to do.

Ok, the installation has some kind of Securom, I think it's similar to the one used by Bioshock, so the one leaked it's pretty useless (He doesn't have the disc anymore, so a new mds can't be done).
Also, what the hell happened with the YASU team? that thing it's obsolete and everything detects it!
