BTW, to anyone who enjoys this game - 'The Thing' game that came out for PS2/PC a few years ago is very similar. It's a little old now, but it has some pretty scary moments. Since Dead Space obviously borrows much from 'The Thing', it's worth playing the game, and of course seeing the movie, which is actually on Hulu.com right now for free.

LoL I remember that. Was it the game where your team members would mutate out of no where and next thing you know somethings attacking you from behind.

The level that scared me the most in a game was the hotel in Vampire Bloodlines. That thing was creepy as hell. |
Oh man, so true! I've never felt so terrified playing a game, ever, as the hotel in Vampire Bloodlines.

Cheers m8 for the answer!
But i forget 1 idea to do before i do what you said!
I solved the problem by setting the priority class(in Process Lasso) to IDLE(lowest)(by default,so every time i run the game i don't need to set the priority manual)!
No more sound problems!
Cheers all & enjoy the game!

Spoiler: | What it means is that you need to aim your gun at the second claw when you have to activate that one after the first and then press C to activate stasis slowdown on that claw, then you have time to run up to the console ontop of platform and activate clampdown on both claws when the second one reaches the tram, they then pull it into repairbay and you can move on |
Go nuts my friend

I'm in chapter 5 now and I am still loving it.
Great game, best one so far this year imo. Well, at least until Fallout 3 maybe.

Uhl? Is there something wrong over here, or are the controls in this game so awkward it's ridiculous?
And what's with the door you can't go through? I just started, and eventually got chased down to an elevator by the alien thingies, barely made it with the stupid controls, and then I get into a room where I get a gun. I open the only door in the room, some guy dies right there, and tada, the game won't let me through even though the door is completely open. Invisible barrier?

Hmm don't remember that. Never ran into any invisible barriers.
Just got into Chapter 7 and the fight in Chapter 6 was intense. Reminded me of a Lost Planet boss fight heh.

i have that problem, the game runs smooth but i have choppy sound
¿Do u solved it putting in task manager high priority to the process?
Because if u do that, should be fixed in a "future patch" (I am sure that this is a problem of the single core)
pd: if u fixed in that way ¿who can i do a shorcut to that step?

choppy sound means your PC is chugging trying to process everything. Start turning down the graphics options one at a time till it stops. Start with AA,field of depth

That one was good. But the worse for me was the orphanage level in thief 3

the problem got fixed with the high priority process.
It is not the first time i experiment this, happens with bcr (until got fixed), still happens with Alone in the Dark, and now happens with this.
The game has choppy sound when there is a lot of trouble, it's because something is not okay in the game and I am sure that is the problem "that appeared in the single core"
If the process is fixed by placing a high priority is because it is a problem in the game.
pd: Choppy? Is not "skiping sound" ? Because only the sound got skiped, not fps drop

Turn vsync off it helps the mouse controls immensely. And yes that is the only view available. And yes it will make you dizzy but you get used to it. I assume they used this view to fuck your field of vision and inject "suspense". Which it doesnt heh.

Doom 3 was shit. Every room consisted of enemies "Portal'ing" in behind you.

Uhhhh wrong. The problem is being fixed because you are dedicated more resources to the game....hence it stops stuttering.

It also makes sense.
Thanks for clarifying
pd: There is some way to make a shorcut to this process? To avoid having to do it manually every time I run it?

hey guys,
Im using the full rip version of this game and I accidentally chose the wrong language on first run. I tried going through the menu/setting(even though iono what the fuck it says) but I still can't find the right option. Is there any way to change it back to english through any config files or registry? (oh yeah, i tried looking for a config file in my documents, game directory, and roamingdata in vista but couldn't find anything)
thanks guys

r0fl, 0wned.
Try deleting the other languages files, and see if gives an error and asks you again to choose a language.
